Beyoncé – If I Were a Boy Lyrics 12 years ago
Very sexist song this.

If there was a song called "If I were a girl" with a similar theme, then there'd be outrage over the sexism.

Its not easy for men either and the whole meaning of the song applies equally with the roles reversed.

The Pussycat Dolls – I Don't Need A Man Lyrics 12 years ago
"I don't need a man" but I need to flaunt my body and dress like a slut to sell records. They don't need men but how many of them are single and celibate?

Bruce Springsteen – Drive All Night Lyrics 12 years ago
One of the best songs ever...sung with such powerful emotion...its a sham the way Springsteen's best songs are ignored on here.

Rihanna – Take a Bow Lyrics 12 years ago
"really good lyrics. BTW related to George Bush??? how come, so what does this line mean "Talking bout 'Girl I love you You're the one'"

The song was written about George Bush. "Girl I love you, you're the one" is basically Bush saying he loves the American people and will do right buy them but keeps on deceiving us, hence "This just looks like the re-run.
Obviously Rihanna will use the euphamism, rather than mentioning Bush directly.

Rihanna – Take a Bow Lyrics 12 years ago
Apparently the song was written about George Bush and this is who Rihanna is singing about in the song. One of her more political songs.
"How about a round of applause
A standing ovation" sarcastic celebration for his presidency.
"Don’t tell me you’re sorry cuz you’re not
Baby when I know you’re only sorry you got caught
But you put on quite a show
You really had me going"
This mainly refers to the alleged inside job of 9/11 and how it was covered up and also the illegal war of Iraq.
"But now it’s time to go
Curtain’s finally closing
That was quite a show
Very entertaining
But it’s over now
Go on and take a bow"
Basically means shows over. He's coming to the end of the road and the curtains closing so take a bow.
