ok, this may be a far stretch, but i think this song could be applied to the life of a soldier in present day with the war. The way i see this song, it's from the perspective of a soldier looking back on the life he lived before he went off to war and thinking about the life he could have lived and even the things that he's missing out on now. "well this road I'm on's gonna turn to sand and leave me lost in a far off land so let me ride the wind til I don't look back forget the life that I almost had" this verse, especially is what made me really think that this song could possibly be about being in Iraq or something along those lines. beautiful song, i'm curious what the song is really about. the lyrics are really great and have great imagery. |

Ugh I definitely agree. this song is so soothing and beautiful. two people who have their issues and all they want to do is save the other from their troubles. I especially love "I have dreams of you she said I see you hiding your face So I'm going to make you brave" It's such a simple song about people who are hurting. the way the song feels, it almost makes think that no matter what these people do for each other, they're still going to be hurting and alone. or maybe that's just how it makes me feel. it's still such a beautiful heartbreaking song. |

oh my gosh, I love Ingrid's newest cd! This song is great. The meaning is really obvious but the imagery is fantastic! whoever this is about, she sure has feelings for this guy. It probably isn't working out, plus he's leaving "Then one day, you'll go away, but I will too. But until then, oh, my darling friend, well I will hold, yes I will hold, yes I will hold, yes I will hold on to you." He may be leaving, but her feelings aren't going to change anytime soon. I think it's like she's leaving the ball in his court. like they may not have a relationship going on right now, but certainly if he gave her the word, he'd move her mountain in a heartbeat. What an amazing song. |

to me, this song is him trying to make the girl realize how much she means to him.....i think in the chorus he's saying that she's fragile and maybe even the relationship is aswell. it's sounds like he wrote this as his final try to make things better. sad, i saw him in concert and he said that the girl broke up with him shortly after he wrote this about her. |

this is deffinitely one of my favorites. its remembering times when you were younger and young loves or new relationships. and those butterflies you get when you're around that person. Worrying about not rushing things but also not wanting to stop those feelings either.....and eventually giving into it all. so good. |

i think it's about a relationship that may have gotten carried away with. like they rushed into things way too fast (you're in a rush to grow when you got engaged) so they had to take a break and figure things out and now they're taking time to solve those feelings and hopefully they'll get back together someday. |
