I just checked a scan from the lyric sheet included with the original LP i don't know if the CD has it too, as i unfortunately don't own that one and yes, it says Demons (A Mexican Fiesta) http://www.discogs.com/image/R-582384-1238118703.jpeg the resolution is not that good but it can be seen if you zoom it in |

Uhm... maybe it's about the Aztec culture, which made human sacrifices "Your Aztec eyes" several lyrics websites list this song as Demons (A Mexican Fiesta) so does Wikipedia Fiesta=Party Ironic But it makes sense to me "You are my offering Your soul transcends The centuries of pain Your misery in life Is your ecstasy in death" They believed that if they died this way they'd became semi-gods "I've loved you before, in other lives But you've never meant as much to me Never meant as much to me as now " To them, it was an honor to offer their blood to their gods And well, that's my interpretarion |
