i think this song is about a couple who have had a huge row. i can imagine lots of drink and them shouting and screaming at each other confessing to affairs they have had and basically just having a horrendous heated screming match. but then they wake in the morning. its a new day and they are still there, together. they still love each other and dont want to part. they have decided to forgive and give their relationship another try. so sad. i love this song.

i think this is the story of a cheat. he sleeps with other girls but he really truely loves this one girl. it feels so good to be with her but when she is away its so easy to fall into bed with someone else. she is the one he wants but he cant help homself. hes a cheat and a liar but underneath it all he really does love her. i think its about eriques alleged cheating on anna kournikova.

i think this is about samsons first wife or partner before delilah came along. I think they had this beautiful passionate love affair and absolutely adored each other. however the lyrics i cut his hair myself one night indicates that it wasnt all roses, sometimes they fought and she did the worst thing she could do to him but he still loved her anyway. and i think the lyrics we couldnt break the columns down... means why the relationship ended, we couldnt break each others walls down, couldnt work things out, but even though it didnt work dont think we didnt love each other beacause we did. it was passionate it was beautiful and it was real. the song is saying our love happened. it was true. delilah might have made it into the history books and the bible but we happened first and we loved each other. i think she is singing this song just after samsons death. she is reminiscing on their love affair and her downfall is that she never really stopped loving him. even with the ups and downs, the fights and the hell they went through she absolutely adored him and he adored her but they just couldnt work it out. so tragic. so beautiful.

I very much doubt that this is the meaning of the song but i was thinking it could be about someone in prison. They could be saying you think you've got it bad in there, well its not much better out here. or it could be about someone who has left a relationship. Is it really that much better since they left? is the grass really greener since you've gone? or maybe its about a couple who absolutely adore each other and arent together anymore but they always come back to each other, they may live their separate lives and do their own thing but they always love each other at the end of it all. just some thoughts of mine. whatever it means i love it!
