great song
seems to be about some of his issues.
the way he says "a problem w/ my chemistry" reminds me off how psychiatrists blame everything on brain chemistry rather than other problems/solutions
and then the 'i know, so strong' reminds me of how people will keep telling you how strong you are for making it through/putting up with very difficult times, but it's not like you have any other alternative (other than suicide of course.) So those compliments tend to lose meaning. |

so i think it has to do with depression/suicide and love. He is in this deep depression and see's no reason to keep living except for this girl's eyes who are so beautiful that they are telling him to stay here.
He hit the bottom of life, his lowest low, and escaped reality in one form or another (drugs, delusions, etc.) but hopefully he pulled himself out of this and got a girl |

i defintly see this as more of a buddhist view or just the perennial philosophy in general that is all about recognizing that there is only god and how it is all just to profound to even apprciate and it just penetrates your whole being completely shattering who you thought you were. Recogizing that as your true nature and then coming back into a society that has no understanding of this and you are severly misunderstood and put into an asylum and categorizd with a mental disorder. But what has really happened is that you have touched on something very real and don't quite understand it yourself. Its all pretty straight forward in the words and having been down that whole road recently this song really resonates. |
