Saving Abel – I'm Still Alive Lyrics

I think this song is about going through something really hard in you life, and not being sure if you can make it through it. But then realizing that feeling pain is better than feeling nothing, because pain means that you're still alive. And alot of times pain makes you stronger, and when you get through the really hard things in life, it makes you appreciate all the things that you took for granted before. |

A Rocket to the Moon – Like We Used To Lyrics

To the guy that commented above, i know exactly how you feel cause i'm in the exact same siuation with my ex-girlfreind. And that last verse kills me everytime i hear it "Will he love you like I loved you, will he tell you everyday." I really hope she is happy, i just really can't believe that anyone can love her as much as i do. |

Shinedown – Break Lyrics

I think this song is about learning to accept that life doesn't always go the way you think it should, and you don't always get what you deserve. And if you're going through something difficult in your life, most people just want someone to help them, or someone to save them. I think that the person in this song wants the opposite of that, they want to deal with it on their own. Like some people say that they'd rather feel pain than feel nothing, the narrator decided that it's better to deal with their problems on their own, even if they end up breaking. That's just my thoughts, either way it's an extremely well writen song and really makes you think, but then again thats how all of Brent Smith's songs are for me |

Saving Abel – 18 days Lyrics

I read somewhere that the singer Jared Weeks said the song was about a sheriff that was shot several times while on a call. He had severe injuries to his face and was kept in the hospital. He was released 18 days later he was finally able to look at himself in the mirror. The lyrics describe his thoughts and feelings at the time. |

Brent said this was the first love song he has written, and he wrote it to his girlfriend to tell her how much she means to him. |

On Shinedown's website Brent said it was about his late uncle. This song reminds me of 45, both have very strong meanings, and it sounds like it could be about the same person or something. |

Shinedown – Burning Bright Lyrics

Brent Smith ,the guy who wrote it, described it like this, "I wrote it as like a manual on life, that you write as you go, and realizing that you might be different than everyone else and things might be hard but you have to find your inner strength and your own ways to overcome your demons; it's about being honest with yourself and staying true and not changing yourself for anyone, because in you darkest hour you're the only one that can find the light." |

Daughtry – Feels Like Tonight Lyrics

fredflyer, i've never really thought of it like that before. But when i think about it, a lot of chris's songs have a religious meaning to them. And i had never really noticed the things in the video that you mentioned, other than him looking to the sky and the moving clouds. So thanks for giving me that outlook on the song, and like you said, no matter what the writer wrote the song about it's very powerful |

Buckcherry – Sorry Lyrics

I agree completely with eaglesfan17. Josh Todd (the singer) wrote it to his wife about being away on the road for so long. But what makes this song so great is that just about everybody can relate to it. |

Chris Daughtry – Breakdown Lyrics

This song is about religion, as chris says on an interview on napster. The book is the bible and the first line is about people who use it to try and beat the ideas into you.The song is about everyone interpreting the bible diffrently and using the parts they like "Read it off no need for seperating it, you see what you want and try to justify, all your little lines, convictions, and your lies." The he talks about the people who point him out because he's not perfect "why do you have to point at me?" The chorus is about keeping his relationship with God alive and not breaking down. The original chorus for this song was different and i think it went along better with the meaning "No, I cannot fill the void with what you're shoving on me. If you don't know the truth, how can you say you know me? If all this is wrong, I'll find out on my own. So don't kill me inside, I'm trying to live,I'm trying to live.
how is this helping me?
I'm trying to live, trying to live"
This chorus was in the original song titled "Conviction" |

John Rzeznik's parents died when he was very young, and he was left to live with his older sisters. It's kind of like he is writing this to his sisters. They had to grow up fast because they had to take care of him.I think the line "Scars are souvenirs you never lose , the past is never far" is about memories that you'll never forget, like the passing of his parents. |
