Toy Dolls – Idle Gossip Lyrics | 15 years ago |
this song is about society caring about all the idle bullshit in their own lives and even mass media with the entertainment industry taking over peoples mind. kinda their best song.... maybe |
Gorilla Biscuits – Biscuit Power Lyrics | 15 years ago |

Gorilla Biscuits – Cats And Dogs Lyrics | 15 years ago |

Streetlight Manifesto – 9mm and a Three Piece Suit Lyrics | 15 years ago |
the line "i always crack a smile when i see your punk rock clothes" is stupid. streetlight is my favorite band, and kalnoky is soo the shiz, but people actually dress punk for reasons besides fitting in, and a lot of people even dont dress punk to fit in(with either anti-fashion punks, or are even to scared to dress punk even though they like the style/music and dont wanna be seen as a loser to "cool" people). sooooo as ive always said, dress punk, dnt dress punk w/e it doesnt matter, but wtf, y bash someone for either one. i guess if kalnoky is referring to a specific punk rock clothing poser person it makes sense, idk i guess thats what hes doing. im just bitching at this point lololol. perfect song. |
Streetlight Manifesto – Sick And Sad Lyrics | 15 years ago |
its the boys perspective from supernothing. |
Big D and the Kids Table – Girls Against Drunk Bitches Lyrics | 15 years ago |
yaa this song is pretty much the anti broho anthem, just as those kids suck is the anti bro anthem. played back to back during a concert would be cool. |
Big D and the Kids Table – Those Kids Suck (T.K.S.) Lyrics | 15 years ago |
no one has used the term bro yet? im pretty sure thats exactly what hes describing. but then again bro and prep r pretty much the same. check out the dead kennedys song terminal preppie. it has horns in it! and shares the same theme pretty much(hatred of bros). |
Streetlight Manifesto – The Big Sleep Lyrics | 16 years ago |
to skahead, im pretty sure the "mother begs the lord" part is saying that everyone are brothers and members of the human race regardless of origin or race or family or anything, war always leads to two brothers killing themselves. |
Dead Kennedys – Chickenshit Conformist Lyrics | 16 years ago |
back to the people not labeling themselves, i think its stupid. do u not realize ur contradictions? the only reason u guys arent labeling urselves punk is because its more punk to do so. thats what this song is talking about, people wanting to be the most hardcoriest kid around and living a lie to do so. wheather u dress punk or not, being a punk(someone who listens to punk rock and lives by ideologies routing from thinking for oneself by mine and most people's definiton) is about who u r, not about what u r trying to be. by accepting that when u say u dnt label urself, u r in reality labeling urself someone who doesnt label and that that whole mindset is really a way to get more attention and be labeled, u r then deciphering the bullshit from the truth. BE URSELF weather its punk or not, and if u dnt label urself punk then dont, but if ur one of the fuckers who wants to be more punk by being less punk(lets face it 80% of people who "dnt label" do that) ur seriosly as low as green day and good charlotte. |
Big D and the Kids Table – Hell on Earth Lyrics | 16 years ago |
its describing many differant political points of view, from being pro-gay, to anti-gay, from this to that, and the solution at the end being lets m,ake life a living hell, saying who cares. big d dnt get too political in their songs, but they sure as fuck believe that you got to fight for ur beliefs and who u r and change shit and diy. |
Crass – Where Next Columbus Lyrics | 16 years ago |
pretty much people have a differant opnion on whats good and whats bad regardless of who is right in a situation, people who are wrong are often trying to do good but not realizing the truth. it also speaks of figures who had their ideas of "good" turned into the ways to profit. great song, my favorite off of penis envy |
Crass – Darling Lyrics | 16 years ago |
they sell us love as divinity when it's only a social obscenity underneath they're all lovable that opening line pretty much says the meaning of the song. everyone is lovable before society strips them away from thinking for themselves and strips them of a brain, and makes them into another clone of society. also about gender roles im guessing and how women need a hero to protect them instead of realizing we are all heros. also about rejecting possessions. |
Crass – Big A Little A Lyrics | 16 years ago |
this song is perfect. rejecting religion, rejecting the government, and staying true to yourself. crass started so much that they will never be credited for, and they wouldn't have it any other way. legends in their own right. |
Streetlight Manifesto – Kirstina She Don't Know I Exist Lyrics | 16 years ago |
this is like a stalker song written by a nerd to some random popular girl who was too cool for him. little did she know he grew up to be the tomas kalnoky, god among us godless followers. i think this song is about two major things: first of, its about taking chances with the ones u love and going for the gold, and is a lesson of what happens if u dnt and how it just fills u with regret. also i think its about how popular people dont realize or care for the unpopular people and possibly kristina didnt get to know kalnoky not because kalnoky was shy, but bc she was so "high and mighty" in her own mind that tomas didnt even see a point in going up to her. whatever its about its a masterpiece, but what slm song isnt? |
Streetlight Manifesto – The Blonde Lead the Blind Lyrics | 16 years ago |
the song is def about religion. the title means the stupid(priests/religious figures) lead the blind(those who believe what they are fed) The blonde lead the blind, but now I begin to see All the things you missed when you were dismissed Because learning always ended at three And time after time, you pass along liability And all the things you say, they only give you away Because you're on the same level that you were that day that part means people dont think for themselves after society and religion has gotten to them. Oh! Friend! You look too deep at the cover of the magazine But the words inside they come across deprived And they force feed shit, but you still subscribe And you watch, but you don't see You touch, but you don't feel And you'll rue the day they'll try to take it away But they know you'll never fight it if they keep it the same People care about entertainment too much and it keeps them ditracted im too lazy to do the whole song right now, but i just wanted to show some proof to my theory of the title |
Streetlight Manifesto – Watch It Crash Lyrics | 16 years ago |
Though everyone will know the truth they'll still just make believe i think that means that even though people knwo the war is wrong no one gives enough of a fuck to do anything about it |
Streetlight Manifesto – Point/Counterpoint Lyrics | 16 years ago |
i hate to double post but i just realized something else. The whole song besides the intro/chorus is an arguement hence the name and lyrics. The arguement is internal about deciding if the war is justified or not. |
Streetlight Manifesto – Point/Counterpoint Lyrics | 16 years ago |
I think the intro is talking about war. A soldier fighting with a gun who knows hes going to die. "i can't believe i'm dying with my song unsungso if and when i die won't you bury me alone? because i'll never get to heaven if i'm singing this song" This means the soldier has been shot and thinks hes going to die, and knows the life he is living wont lead him to heavan becuase in his final moments he realized he has been fighting for imperialism. It has been stated many times that everything went numb is about war and somewhere in the between is about religion. It is ironic that the soldier dying still believes in God even when he realizes the war is a lie. It shows people are so brainwashed that even when they realize one truth, they are still ignorant of reality. |
