Artic Monkeys – Florescent Adolescent Lyrics | 15 years ago |
Croesus: The band is called ARCTIC MONKEYS. |
Jack's Mannequin – Doris Day (Don't Go) Lyrics | 15 years ago |
...where? |
Jack's Mannequin – Swim Lyrics | 15 years ago |
i kinda like to this song as maybe a sequel to dark blue. (of course dark blue sounds way better....but this song is nice too) |
Jack's Mannequin – American Love Lyrics | 15 years ago |
haha yeah i just got the glass passenger cd today and this is one of my favorite songs. i agree with the whole sex based relationship idea. "You see I got this critical conscience A brand new black hole in the solar system I dig my grave but I just cant stand to step inside" |
Something Corporate – If You C Jordan Lyrics | 15 years ago |
ok this song isn't about some red head slut trying to steal boyfriends. it's about a school bully that happens to have red hair. this song makes me laugh every time i hear it. It's not one of Soco's deepest songs, but that doesn't make it disappointing. "I don't care if you die your hair you'll always be a little red head BITCH!" haha. |
Simple Minds – Don't You (Forget About Me) Lyrics | 15 years ago |
This is my favorite 80's song ever. Just like how The Breakfast Club is my favorite 80's movie Mmm...great combination =] |
The Horrors – She is the New Thing Lyrics | 15 years ago |
the music video for this song gives me nightmares. |
Rihanna – Take a Bow Lyrics | 15 years ago |
Ok...well the whole idea of taking a bow after getting caught cheating is pretty good. But she totally botched the lyrics.... "You look so dumb right now" "You're so ugly when you cry" Couldn't she have used something a bit more poetic? And this song is played on the radio constantly. Almost more than I Kissed A Girl by Katy Perry. It's driving me insane. |
Colbie Caillat – Bubbly Lyrics | 15 years ago |
what the hell? um...frack1836...was that completely necessary. i hate this song. "cause every time I see your bubbly face I get the tingles in a silly place" makes me want to stab her. |
Blue October – Congratulations Lyrics | 15 years ago |
This song reminds me of the movie, The Notebook. Like with the whole wedding scenario and the guy coming to say congratulations, but i've loved you longer...and Imogene Heap singing, "you left me" I dunno. it's just what i think about when i hear this particular blue october song. |
The Bravery – The Ocean Lyrics | 15 years ago |
can someone explain the first line in the second verse? "sixes and sevens we live on jet planes" the rest of the song is pretty self explanatory. it's sounds truly heartfelt. |
The Ataris – The Boys of Summer (Don Henley cover) Lyrics | 15 years ago |
Yeah, i do like this cover a lot more than the original. Out on the road today I saw a Black Flag sticker on a Cadillac A little voice Inside my head said "Don't look back. You can never look back." I thought I knew what love was What did I know? Those days are gone forever I should just let them go, but i always thought "black flag" was a hardcore punk band in the late 70's...I think the Ataris's are referring to that band. |
Jason Mraz – I'm Yours Lyrics | 15 years ago |
this song was okay the first time i heard it. but by the 4th time, i was pretty much ready to throw my radio at a wall. now i think it's overplayed and so whiny and annoying. |
Jack's Mannequin – Rescued Lyrics | 15 years ago |
i think he's singing about a relationship that's hanging by a thread.. series of arguments and breakups with the same girl...they aren't compatible, they're not the perfect couple. but despite all that, the 2 are hopelessly in love and can't separate. i think its amazing how andrew can write such beautiful songs complete with descriptive lyrics and double meanings. the guys a freakin genius when it comes to music. |
The Escape Frame – Away In Love Lyrics | 16 years ago |
"The walls in my mind and I have yet to find Someone who can take my mind off you" yep. separation hurts like hell. |
U2 – Beautiful Day Lyrics | 16 years ago |
It's a beautiful day, don't let it get away" Everybody has to learn to stop constantly staring at the dirty ground they're standing on, and acknowledging the pretty sky above them. I know this is a cliche...but life's too short to remember only the ugly days. |
The Get Up Kids – I'll Catch You Lyrics | 16 years ago |
i wish i knew someone out there... who is as reliable as this song. "don't worry, I'll catch you......" |
Flobots – Handlebars Lyrics | 16 years ago |
God this song is deeper than it sounds. I don't think i can describe it very well. The music video helps with the meaning. http://youtube.com/watch?v=AuK2A1ZqoWs |
The Spill Canvas – Sunsets And Car Crashes Lyrics | 16 years ago |
whoa...i didn't even think of that. encase you, in case you...holy crap! yeah i'd say a car crash is as good of a theory as anything else. His lover has died and he's in pain, counting the minutes till the end. "you are all kinds of beautiful as you END my day. "the beauty lies in how you will revive me soon" maybe he's waiting for that moment when wakes up in heaven and sees her face...i'm not sure. I would think he's dieing though. |
Boys Like Girls – Hero/Heroine Lyrics | 16 years ago |
I guess heroine could have a double meaning, but i think the heroine (female hero) fits the song better. As for the meaning... the song's about rejection. Complete with painful memories and agonizing infatuation. Or maybe not even rejection, just a powerful sense of admiration and...love beyond words. I can relate. Can't we all? |
Metro Station – Shake It Lyrics | 16 years ago |
Ok, whoever said it was about dancing, i guess that could be a possibility, but take a second look at the lyrics. Your lips tremble But your eyes are in a straight stare (In a straight stare) We're on the bed But your clothes are laying right there And I was thinking of places That I could hide (I could hide) Now if she does it like this Will you do it like that? Now if she touches like this Will you touch her right back? Now if she moves like this Will you move her like that? Come on, shake, shake Shake, shake, shake it come on. its about SEX! Haha...it's a catchy song, though. Shake, shake Shake, shake, shake it |
Jason Mraz – Geek In The Pink Lyrics | 16 years ago |
clever guy. the song has multiple meanings a few less obvious. i think most people can figure out the first 2 pretty easily. |
Jimmy Eat World – Always Be Lyrics | 16 years ago |
yeah i can relate. we all can relate. i think of an awkward situation where (in this case) the guy is madly in love with the girl and desperately wants to make it known, but is afraid of ruining what relationship he already has with her. ....story of my life. |
Sixx: A.M. – Life is Beautiful Lyrics | 16 years ago |
I always think of this song whenever friends pull up their sleeves and show me the neat rows of dark slashes running up their wrists. Why do they flaunt their scars like that? Why do they have to tell me when they hurt themselves, detail where, when, how, and why they pulled the blade to their skin. Do they really think i want to know? One person can only give enough sympathy. I wish they would express their anger and depression in a different way than abusing themselves like that. Anyways, this song makes me think how people need to stop bitching about their lives and seeing only the bad in everything. Life is not completely consumed with flaws. You just need to think outside of your self pity and hatred and look closer around you. Does this make sense to anybody? |
Nickelback – Savin' Me Lyrics | 16 years ago |
this is going to sound stupid but i think the song sounds religious. cuz you know how, in Christianity, you get saved and trust in Christ as you savior and everything, you get to heaven? well the song's calling "Savin Me" and he talks about like trapped souls and falling and gates not opening for him...........i dunno. i just think of that when i listen to the song. sorry for preaching. |
Good Charlotte – Break Apart Her Heart Lyrics | 16 years ago |
So true.... A girl thinks she loves a guy and refuses to accept the fact that he's a complete jerk. It's kinda like he's trying to get rid of her while she's trying her hardest to somehow make him love her the way she loves him. The truth of it is, that guys can tear a girls heart to shreds but the girl will be so lovesick that she forgive and forget in an instant and never cease in trying to gain it all back. I bet everyone can relate somehow to this song...the situation is happening constantly. |
Weezer – Island In The Sun Lyrics | 16 years ago |
Definitely about paradise.... everybody out there that thinks this song is about drugs, depression, or broken relationships - you're thinking way too hard. Just look at the lyrics. Don't try to turn it into something oppressive. When you're on a golden sea You don't need no memory Just a place to call your own As we drift into the zone... |
Natasha Bedingfield – Single Lyrics | 16 years ago |
The lyrics are pretty self explanatory. She's tired of feeling so desperate for guy. she likes being independent every once in awhile. i like the whistling in the song. its catchy... |
Nelly Furtado – All Good Things Lyrics | 16 years ago |
these lyrics hold a lot of memories for me. now, every time i hear it, i instantly think of the countless summers i spent off the coast of California. Since i was a kid i would dread the day late in august when we had to leave the ocean and return to the city. I remember hearing this song on the old beach house radio... why do all good things come to an end? |
The Ataris – The Boys of Summer (Don Henley cover) Lyrics | 16 years ago |
The Ataris reminds me of The Bravery. They kinda sound the same. This song is also a lot like a song that the Bravery sings called "Time Won't Let Me Go". Both are about memories of good times in the past and how they would like to relive them. |
Gary Jules – Mad World (Tears for Fears cover) Lyrics | 16 years ago |
the song's describing our world...our society. no matter how fake and happy we make it...its still going to be flawed, harsh, doomed... in the video is about children, i think the lyrics are describing how a child being born in this time is never going to see anything better than what they see now. their going to be trapped in a mad world. "children waiting for the day they feel good Happy Birthday, Happy Birthday Made to feel the way that every child should Sit and listen, sit and listen" |
Blue October – Into the Ocean Lyrics | 16 years ago |
the song is comparing the ocean to life falling in the ocean = struggling in life life is an ocean, a flood, and sometimes you find yourself...lost and drowning. "now floating up and down i spin colliding into sound like whales beneath me diving down i’m sinking to the bottom of my everything that freaks me out the lighthouse gleam has just run out i’m cold as cold as cold... can be..." |
Jack's Mannequin – Katie Lyrics | 16 years ago |
i think this song's supposed to be on his new album coming out this year, am i right? it must have sucked for both andrew and his sister to have to go through something like they did. no wonder he wrote a song for her... i like the line "this world can be ugly but isnt it beautiful?" so true so true... |
Linkin Park – Shadow Of The Day Lyrics | 16 years ago |
man no matter how many times i analyze this song...i keep thinking its about death and suicide... but there's got to be more to that. The lyrics just have this depressing atmosphere to them. "the sun will set for you...the shadow of the day will embrace the world in grey" it's like now matter how happy things seems, there's the shadow of the day following you...and no matter how bright and cheerful the sun is...it will always set, darkening the sky i honestly don't want to think about death every time i hear linkin park singing this. its such a beautiful song. its shouldn't be about suicide... i must be missing something. |
Jack's Mannequin – Dark Blue Lyrics | 16 years ago |
yeah this song is great makes me think of an ocean |
Dashboard Confessional – So Beautiful Lyrics | 16 years ago |
When i hear this song i picture this somewhat vain girl who has a habit of selecting all the bad things in other people to make herself feel better about herself. Shes constantly dissatisfied with her life - she doesn't have enough friends, not enough guys like her, shes not pretty enough, ect... But she always manages to put a smile on her face fooling everybody into thinking shes perfect... |
Third Eye Blind – Jumper Lyrics | 16 years ago |
the guy singing the song (narrator) is watching his friend slowly suffer from depression and then something happens to both of them that puts their friendship on a line. The narrator realizes his friend is reaching his last days before he "jumps" and is trying to talk him out of it "won't you step back from that ledge my friend" hes trying to tell him that everyone is alone sometimes and noones life is perfect. there comes a time in everyones life where they have to decide difference between right and wrong "everyone has to face down the demons" he doesnt care if his friend never wants to see his face again as long as he knows he's alive. |
