Jason Reeves – New Hampshire Lyrics | 15 years ago |
Put in a small town made of hills and trees And you've got to believe--this is what you dream is actually but in a small town made of hills and trees and streams, all you've got to believe is what you dream |
Modest Mouse – Fly Trapped in a Jar Lyrics | 15 years ago |
this is definetly not about politics. isaac said himself that politics die too fast. modestmousenirvana was right. and it's "gonna shake myself right out the door" |
Will Dailey – Boom Boom Lyrics | 15 years ago |
pretty self explanatory she broke his heart but he still believes there is hope and he will wait for her 'i remember the sound of you. like a rush, left a taste that lingered for too long. i will wait for the magic." my favorite lines. love this song |
The Strokes – Last Nite Lyrics | 16 years ago |
tom petty did mention this song in an interview. "...a lot of rock & roll songs sound alike. Ask Chuck Berry. The Strokes took “American Girl” [for their song “Last Nite”], and I saw an interview with them where they actually admitted it. That made me laugh out loud. I was like, “OK, good for you.” It doesn’t bother me ..." kudo's for petty. it's a waste to argue over songs that sound even the slightest bit similar |
Armor for Sleep – Lullaby Lyrics | 16 years ago |
i think he's in love with a girl who isn't satisfied with just him. she's always needing more and he doesn't complete her. she puts other things before him and she basically doesn't feel the same way he does. |
Angus and Julia Stone – Paper Aeroplane Lyrics | 16 years ago |

Gregory and the Hawk – Irreplaceable Lyrics | 16 years ago |
I fixed it. To the left To the left To the left To the left, To the left To the left, Everything you own in the box to the left In the closet, that's my stuff Yes, if I bought it, please don't touch it And keep talking that mess, thats fine Could you walk and talk at the same time? It's my name on that jag So remove your bags, let me call you a cab Standing in the front yard, telling me How I'm such a fool, talking 'bout How I'll never find a man like you You got me twisted You must not know bout' me You must not know bout' me I could have another you in a minute Matter fact, he'll be here in a minute, baby You must not know 'bout me You must not know 'bout me I could have another you by tomorrow So don't you ever for a second get to thinkin' you're irreplaceable So go ahead and get gone Call up that chick, and see if shes home Oops I bet you thought I didn't know What did you think I was putting you out for? Cause' you was untrue Rolling her around in the car that I bought you Baby, drop them keys Hurry up, before your taxi leaves Standing in the front yard, telling me I'm such a fool, talking 'bout Tellin' me I'll never ever find a man like you You got me twisted You must not know bout' me You must not know bout' me I could have another you in a minute Matter fact, he'll be here in a minute, baby You must not know bout' me You must not know bout' me I can have another you by tomorrow So don't you ever for a second get to thinkin' you're irreplaceable |

Modest Mouse – Bukowski Lyrics | 16 years ago |
You can tell in alot of Isaac Brock's songs that he is questioning Gods existence... |

Modest Mouse – Little Motel Lyrics | 16 years ago |
MoonAndAntarctica, I definetly don't agree with you. I believe in no way, is Modest Mouse becoming a generic band... because they're so metaphoric and obscure. This song isn't even a hopeful love song, I find it sad. But always amazing, that's Modest Mouse for you. |
Modest Mouse – Talking Shit About a Pretty Sunset Lyrics | 16 years ago |
Isaac Brock is amazing. He writes such metaphorical songs, but he puts them in an understandable way. This song is very relative to me, and I'm sure to alot of people aswell. "...And I'm trying to understand myself and pinpoint who I am When I finally get it figured out, I've changed the whole damn plan..." Like saying, life is constantly changing, and you could think you have yourself figured out, but then realize you don't, because, (if you are a human being), you're indecisive about everything... or atleast, I am. |
Angus and Julia Stone – Mango Tree Lyrics | 16 years ago |
This is such an adorable song. Most of Angus' songs are obscure, and this, being so simple, yet metaphorical in some lines... it's just amazing. When I listen to this, I think of young love, sweet, free and innocent. I love it. |
Angus and Julia Stone – Paper Aeroplane Lyrics | 16 years ago |
If Angus did say what ~gracie~ said, then this song definetly makes sense. But the ending confuses me. Maybe he eventually did write this girl a letter, but It didn't get to her? |
