smashing pumpkins is my favourite band, and thru all the band's shit, billy corgan has never written an unthoughtful, generic, cliched song.
but this song. omg. the best song ever written, ever composed or recorded. it has so many layers and so much feeling. it drags me in in some way everytime. and the good thing about smashing pumpkins is that even if you don't understand the intricate well-thought out lyrics, you will still get the exact underlying expression of the song just in the way it all comes together in such a specific and overpowering way.
this song has such an inspiring side to it, even though it seems to be about some sort of tragedy. now that is fucking skill for you |
