Esham – Morty's Theme Lyrics 13 years ago
corrected as best i could..

---------------------------

Usin my inhibitions, callin my intuitions
Something's goin on if I'm feelin not superstitious
I'm vicious, I'm trapped inside the paradox
When my thoughts get twisted like some dreadlocks
I never or ever wondered 'bout the Voodoo
I sing the Voodoo, and now my deepest fears is comin true
I never loved ya, but I hate ya ???
How could I love you, how, because I hate you know
it's no wonder, I take you under with the wickedness
And with the wickedness, I make a preacher slit his fuckin wrist
No comin near me, when I'm thinkin this
Cuz when I'm thinkin this, I'm thinkin suicidalist, uh
So back up off me, bust a brain cell, I bust a brain cell
I fall asleep and dream about hell
Some wonder why I'm even callin ya'll
The sky is fallin y'all, but after all it's my deepest fear

[Chorus]
Morty (nowhere to run to, nowhere to hide)
Morty (how you gon hide from the fears inside)

chemical dependencies, suicidal tendencies
Brain don't melt down, street lobotomy
Claustrophobia, locked in the pine box
Now I lay me down to sleep, six feet deep
Closed Casket, just another basket case
Not a mannequin, but a mad man, so ya panickin'
Run from it, everybody's scared, so you're callin out

Buckshots, shotgun blast, now you fallin, now
Everybody hide from their deepest fears inside
Watch me and my man Morty take you on a murder ride
Suicide symptoms of insanity, I'm blankin out
Polly want a cracker, but I'm never ever crackin now
Call me Dr. Frankenstein, dead bodies thinkin I'm
Gonna get, wit ya, when I hit ya, I'mma slit ya
Nobody can hold me, i'm a ??? clear
Buried alive in the pine box is my deepest fear

[Chorus]

It's ever so clear, my deepest fear is to hear the screams
The sounds of a madman, embottled in Morty's Theme
I dream, and nightmares come true, simply voodoo
Hallucinatin visions of killin you
The thought of even thinkin that, I think I need a drink
In fact I think I need some therapy cuz ain't nobody helpin me
Since I got no excuses, for mental abuses, I'm losin faith
My only fear is to love instead of hate you
Born and bred, born dead, my mind bled
Every time the Holy Bible was read
To said that I lost consciousness, and wound up wit wicked ways
Thinkin about Voodoo dolls, runnin wild on my last days
Spent with Morty, my shorty, no ventriloquist
Esham the Unholy, straight suicidalist

[Chorus]

Led Zeppelin – Stairway to Heaven Lyrics 14 years ago
I have a completely different meaning for this song than most.

The way I see it the lady is actually a righteous person in this song. She's sure all that glitters is gold and she's buying her stairway to heaven. Throughout the entire song we believe this in the literal sense but we forget the line, "you know sometimes words have two meanings."

I believe the "whispering wind" is referring to the line about the people whispering, "if we all call the tune then the piper will lead us to reason." Basically, her path to heaven is staying strong and being firm in her beliefs.

At the end, "there walks a lady we all know", obviously the same women that the song has been talking about. "Who shines white light and wants to show/ How everything still turns to gold." Everything can be turned into something good. She knows this and that's what she's been doing and thus buying her stairway to heaven.

As for the forest part. He says, "In my thoughts I have seen rings of smoke through the trees/ And the voices of those who stand looking." "And it's whispered that soon/ if we all call the tune/ then the piper will lead us to reason" I see this as religious in a way. The rings of smoke are the works of the piper, the piper being a reference to a Jesus most likely. The people who "call the tune" or act based on what they've witnessed are the ones who are lead to reason by the piper thus the forests will echo will the laughter of the people who stood long.

Anyway, just my two cents. That's what I get out of this song at least.

HIM – Funeral of Hearts Lyrics 15 years ago
Well here's my interpretation... for what it's worth.

------------------------
--"Love's the funeral of hearts,
And an ode for cruelty,"

Love is paying respect to the death of a heart. Meaning love is beautiful in it's cruelty which leads us to the second line. An ode for cruelty. Same as the first line (hence the word and bridging them).

------------------------

--"When angels cry blood on flowers of evil in bloom,"

Angels(beautiful creatures) crying(sadness) on flowers(beautiful) of evil(evil) in bloom(beautiful)

Obviously love is spawned from beauty, is filled with chaos but in the end the result is beautiful. Valo is just highlighting the parts we often overlook.

------------------------

--"The funeral of hearts,
And a plea for mercy,
When love is the gun separating me from you."

Valo is stating how love is actually a plea for mercy when love is a gun in between two people who would otherwise be together perfectly had it not been for that stupid love in the middle of the relationship. The gun symbolizes that the only way to be together happily is to live out all the chaos (pull the trigger) that in the end produces beauty(love).

------------------------

--"She was the sun,
Shining upon,
The tomb of your hopes, and dreams so frail."

The female always gives hope to the male. She is like a bright light in the male's life which consists typically of broken(dead) hopes and dreams. So frail is adding emphasis to how delicate these things are to the male.

------------------------

--"He was the moon,
Painting you,
With its glow so vulnerable and pale."

The male reflects the light of the female back to her(I'm assuming this is referencing the process of seduction) exposing her vulnerability(need for the male). Pale once again adds emphasis to the previous statement(this must be Valo's writing style).

------------------------

--"She was the wind,
Carrying in,
All the troubles and fears, here for years, tried to forget."

The female exposes the male's faults and problems which were assumed to be a thing of the past.

------------------------

--"He was the fire,
Restless and wild,
And you were like a moth to that flame."

The male is wild youngin and the female loves it. The good girl/bad boy complex.
That whole verse is just talking about the way females expose and try to solve the male's problems in relationships.

------------------------

--"The heretic seal beyond divine,
Pray to God who's deaf and blind,"

Lol wut?
The second line is talking about asking for help from god but receiving nothing in return. (I think Valo is trying to be subliminal about his disbelief in a divine being.)

------------------------

--"The last night's, the soul's on fire,
Three little words and a question why."

I think they had sex and someone said I love you and the other person wondered why. Now they are confused and probably still pondering this. The answer to this riddle is left to the person who interpreted the song this far. Although you must keep in mind the beauty that could possibly spawn from this. Hmm... good song.
