Deftones – Sextape Lyrics | 14 years ago |
Hands down the best song on the album. I'd love to see it as the next single. |
The Smashing Pumpkins – Innosense Lyrics | 14 years ago |
When i first heard this song I thought "Mellon Collie" instantly. Does anyone else get that feel from this song? |
The Smashing Pumpkins – Here's to the Atom Bomb (Machina II) Lyrics | 14 years ago |
For some reason I can't stop thinking that this is the sequel to 1979 and Perfect. Now they're lives are heading downhill and they're all older. "We are the holes in the wall" refers to they are not perfect anymore. |
The Killer and the Star – Living With Musicians Lyrics | 14 years ago |
Wow, this song is probably the best song on the album, so much power in the lyrics and the melodies. |
Filter – What's Next Lyrics | 15 years ago |
Another great band joining the political bandwagon. Please... |
Blue October – For My Brother Lyrics | 15 years ago |
Just as an interesting fact, his brother is Jeremy Furstenfeld, the drummer for Blue October. |
Hurt – Pills Lyrics | 15 years ago |
I think the lyrics are a bit off, but that's probably because you did it by ear. The second verse I think he sings: "He pays the bills And he mows the lawn" Anyways, the song seems pretty straight forward, A wife and mother who takes meds because she's depressed. Her husband just pays the bills and ignores it, and her family wishes she'd just leave them. And I think the last verse where it says "he takes the pills and he moves along" and also "we take these pills and we move along" means more than just taking the meds, but I can't quite put my finger on it. Amazing song |
Hurt – World Ain't Right Lyrics | 15 years ago |
yes, he sings the second verse and choruses. In the acoustic version I don't think he sings in it, but on the album version he does. |
Hurt – World Ain't Right Lyrics | 15 years ago |
Amazing song. I think it's about a good friend of J. Loren who was paralyzed. Also when Shaun sings it's about the same guy who's gambling his money away after his wife left him, not knowing yet what will soon happen to him. |
P.O.D. – Tell Me Why Lyrics | 15 years ago |
Calm down alejandro, if you can't handle people's opinions, you shouldn't be posting. I personally think it ruins a band when they start preaching things like this in their songs. Especially a Christian band, who's supposed to be preaching about Christ, instead he's slamming and insulting someone who he should be respectful of. Kinda makes me lose my respect for them, as it disappoints me and saddens me that they're turning in this direction when they used to be my favorite band as a kid and actually inspired me to be more faithful and religious when I turned into an adult. Now this just saddens me. |
Trapt – The Last Tear Lyrics | 15 years ago |
I think it's more about a compulsive liar who pretends to be sad just for people to feel sorry for him/her and was exposed and now people are realizing that his/her story is fake. Reminds me of a friend I had who said she was a druggie and had all these issues that were found to be false. |
Team Sleep – Appollonia Lyrics | 16 years ago |
If anyone can remember, this song was on the Matrix Reloaded soundtrack, but it was the instrumental version, The Passportal. Kind of fits that he's talking about machines that are on his side, and machines that want to kill him. |
10 Years – Proud Of You Lyrics | 16 years ago |
Reminds me of a good friend of mine who is in a rough place in her life doing drugs and alcohol, and it's kind of my song to her. Amazing song |
Deftones – Passenger Lyrics | 16 years ago |
Here's my take on it: Being recently cheated on by a girl who had sex with the guy in the back of his car, it gives this song a completely different meaning. The way I see it is two people having sex in the car. Since most deftones songs are about sex, this comes as no surprise. "Roll the windows down This cool night air is curious Let the whole world look in Who cares who sees anything" Who cares if they get caught? "Chrome buttons, buckles and leather surfaces These and other lucky witnesses" Objects witnessing them having sex "Drop these down and Put them on me Nice cool seats There to cushion your knees" Getting comfortable "This time wont you please drive faster" This is a bit of a stretch, but I think when it says "drive faster" I don't really think it's about driving the car, I think it's about the sex getting faster. "Roll these misty windows down To catch my breath again" Heavy breathing and sweat causes the windows to get misty or foggy. "And then go and go and go just drive me home Then back again"" Finish up and drive me home, then do this again. Anyways that's my take on it. It really hits me since this is the exact way my girlfriend cheated on me twice. |
Five Bolt Main – Seem To Be Fine Lyrics | 16 years ago |
First, there are some corrections "You put me on a shelf" instead of "you put me on a shell" "we are all present tense" not "we are all presence" "Nagging pain still inside" instead of "Negging pain still inside" "And so I live in the mindset that I cannot fall, sinking in the soul of everyone" instead of "so I live in the motions I cannot unfold, sickened in the soul of everyone" I think the song is very self explanatory, he regrets something bad he did. And he wants everyone to be able to see what's in store for them so they don't make the same mistakes that he did. I think they could have had a big hit with this song, instead of Pathetic. This song and The Gift are the best on the album in my opinion. |
