System of a Down – Lonely Day Lyrics 15 years ago
Me too - I thought I had misheard it. Especially since I am staying in Turkey these days where an inflationary use of that kind of "double comparative" is taking place, things may not be much more better in Armenia which is kind of close and from what I know the place that SOAD come from. Are they native speakers?

osuturfman is right. With a drug habit like that it is highly unlikely that this song would not be meant in the manner he describes it.

Makes me sad to listen to this song, thinking of how the dude ended. When that album was recorded he'd spend a 4000 bucks per month on smack. You can tell that the songs have the sound of opioid exaltation to them. He'd most certainly already lost the grip on reality when he sang: " I had a million dollars, but I'd spent it all..." It's frightening to see how some people seem destined to be inevitably headed for self-desctruction. (Even more so the notion that you might be one of them)

Chokebore – Snow Lyrics 16 years ago
Absolutely powerful. One of the saddest songs ever written. I can hardly believe how good this is.

Chokebore – Speed Of Sound Lyrics 16 years ago
This song is amazing. When I first started listening to Chokebore I kept wondering, why their music is so sad, after all they're from Hawaii.
It seems as though Troy suffers from the beauty of the pictures i pants with his words.
