splitting the winds apart, i'm pretty sure. how do you split something like the wind? a beautiful thought i agree with Malenkaja who said that this song is about choosing addiction over love. Especially the line "still standing on the corner where i left you, digging up a quite sufficient track" has the obvious connotation that he is still addicted, where he was when she left, track literally referring to track marks. it's a beautiful song about regret, i think. |

whenever i hear this song, i feel like my entire life is about to make a dramatic change for the better. it's probably my second favorite song of all time. i think it can be about being high (coming down, no not today), because you're sort of flying when you're high. but it can also be about how when you're with the right person, drugs or not, you're flying. you're invincible. you're never coming down. all the worl can pass you by, it doesn't matter because the two of you are going to live forever. |
