| I downloaded this for free off of AmazonMP3 a few days ago and now I'm in love with it. Without knowing the artist's intended meaning, I think it's safe to say that everyone is going to interpret it differently depending on how it fits their own personal situation. It's great that this song is clearly about indecisiveness--a problem of mine. It's nice to know that there's someone out there who has trouble deciding things as much as I do; especially important decisions. | |

I love this song since songs of reminiscence usually have a much mellower vibe. I compare this song to something like a high school or college relationship ("back when we didn't have to live") where they went their separate ways after graduation, but that's just how i see it. Unless I'm being naive, it's a very easy song to understand. |

I'm surprised I didn't comment this one when I got the album when it first came out since I commented all those ones... anyway, I've never heard The Thief, I don't think, but I love this one. I think it can go either way; about a girl or Jesus depending on your situation. | Yes, it's off the Nashville Tennis EP. I absolutely love this song, even though it's kinda confusing. I think sambo seems to have it right, it's just hard to explain without saying exactly what Matt T. says. The part that says "I don't like the steps I took to look into your deepest feelings" sounds to me like he didn't get to know her the way he wanted, whether he did something wrong or it just didn't go as planned. Then, it sounds like she...died? "why don't I curl up and die too." He wants to "rest his soul" (commit suicide) because he thinks that that's the only way he'll have control of his own life. I guess everyone goes through a phase where they wish they had some control over their life, but eventually realize that, ultimately, God's in control. Maybe it's wrong, but it makes sense for now. | |

hmm...this song definitely could be about her time in San Fransisco "tonight is the last time i'll ever be here..." I like how she leaves the story broad enough that almost anyone can stick their own story in it to match their own situation. It's a very uplifting song that reminds you that not all "bad" situations have to be bad. Good things CAN happen. |

I agree...and this song kinda hits close to home since i went through a breakup recently. She can't stop thinking about him; she tries to make excuses for thinking about him (blame, regret, etc) but just gives up and realizes she just wants him back. now that he's gone she doesn't remember who she was before "she" was a "we." I really love this song and I think Marie is a very talented artist. 'nuff said. |

No matter what I say, someone will think otherwise. Anyways, I think it depends on the situation: 1) Personal morals and religious beliefs 2) Economic issues 3) Social issues I know those are very obvious. Although everyone is equal in God's eyes, today's society does not allow everyone to be equal while on Earth. I really don't know what I believe in this situation, but I understand both sides. Morally, I believe that abortion is against Christianity and I also believe in abstinence...so I suppose I'm against it...so yeah, that's my 2 cents. |

I absolutely love this song. Seeing as how Red's a Christian band it basically talks about how God completes us and, even when we think everything in our lives are falling apart, God will put those pieces back together in the end and you'll find peace. It reminds me that we can't do everything or anything without God in our lives and, as hard as you try, you need God in every aspect of life. |
