I'm surprised no one else commented on this song. IT reminds me of my most ultimate lapse in judgement, my ex-boyfriend. LOL. |

She's an alcoholic, I think she knows she's full of BS and i like this song becuase it lets you into a psyche of someone with a problem. She knows why she drinks, and that it's not good, but she rattles through all the excuses that a lot of other addicts use. I feel it's very tongue and cheek, it's sad though becuase there probably are people out there who look at this song superficially. It has a peppy sound , but I think it's a really sad song. |

Ray LaMontagne – Trouble Lyrics

I feel like this song is pretty self explanatory. It speaks of a woman, but it could be anyone that can save you from yourself and your demons.
It's beautiful and poignant how he personifies the negative aspectts of life like worry and sadness.
Before he was sad and alone, and now he's been rescued from it and given 'love and affection' |

Ray LaMontagne – Lesson Learned Lyrics

It it clear in the song that he cheated, to me.
" Now I wear the brand of traitor
Don't it seem a bit of absurd?
When it's clear I was so obviously framed."
I think the whole framed line refers to her labeling him as this awful bad guy, who cheated out of no where. This whole song, to me, is about a girl who sees all that is wrong in her relationship and chooses to ignore it, but when she finds out the truth, blames the downfall on him. He feels bad about leaving her, but isn't ready to accept just yet that he hurt her, becuase he feels resentful that she is playing glib, or maybe he's sorrowful, becuase perhaps she really was, and he really WANTED her to ask, so he could tell the truth, but she never did. That was a horrible run on sentence, but I hope I got my point across. |

Maybe the mirror comment is him saying that the lover didn't recieve much from him. A mirror is an inanimate object that gives nothing more than what you give it. |

I'm surprised no one has commented. I love this song, becuase he describes a world that I wish I lived in.The end of the song kind of has a feel that these are the things people should hope for, and in fact they are attainable if we all keep dreaming. |

Paramore – That's What You Get Lyrics

I love at the end when the song is like "Pain, make your way to me, to me
And I'll always be just so inviting
If I ever start to think straight
This heart will start a riot in me"
To me it's symbolic of letting go of a relationship and your sense starts to come back and realize that person was awful for you, and you start to be ok, your feelings will come back and put you back in a state of funk all over again, like it loves the pain because it's something. |

Ray LaMontagne – A Falling Through Lyrics

I love this song because to me its about losing a relationship and trust in someone, and still wanting nothing but that person, even if you know it was not going to work out. The line "stay, stay and watch the coals till they cease to glow" is the best |

Jeff Buckley – Last Goodbye Lyrics

This song means too much me. This is hands down my favorite song I've ever heard, and for a song to surpass this one, it will have to be beyong incredible, because this song is a masterpiece in my opening.
And I like the version of Grace, it balances Jeff's powerful vocals, with a rich full sound, especially when the orchestra comes in, the music itself is very mournful, just like the song. |

This song to me is about being in love with someone who doesn't love you back. And they linger around knowing how you feel but afraid to tell you that they don't feel the same, and how you just want them to move on and let go because by staying around and pretending is hurting more than them being there. |

Jeff Buckley – So Real Lyrics

When I listen to this song, i always get the vibe he's using word play and saying so real to sound like surreal on purpose. Because think about it, something can be so real and so intense, that its' surreal.
Oh... I love it! And I love the distortion in the song. |

Has anyone else noticed as the song progesses, it seems at first he's talking to his friend, and the family we was leaving and as the song continued he was talking more about himself and how he waited for his father. The last paragraph seems like he's talking about his father and his death. |

This song is too awfully familiar.
"I didn't want you but it is... It's never over but it is."
Landon perfectly captures the contradiction of 'breaking up' with someone you were never with. |

Regina Spektor – Better Lyrics

I feel like this song is about really wanting to help someone, but not knowing how or if you even can, hence, will you feel anything at all? And at the end of the song, the person was just getting sadder and sadder, and she couldn't understand, because she just wanted to the person to feel better. *sigh* |
