i DON'T believe it at all that this AWESOME song is about sex. EH!? no. it's NOT. anywho, I think that this song is about two people running away from something (im going against the fact of the "romeo and juliet" theme) cos they've done something against the law possibly, and they're running away from the police or something. The timeline of events are distorted and not in correct order. I think it goes from running away, to the guy getting shot, and keeps on switching between those lines. "Sunbeam, stop tugging me Pull that door shut quietly" This part is about them running away from the helicopter police light, and they find somewhere to hide for the while. "Darling, what are you doing? We don't have time for this Mmm dey mmm da mmm daaeeoo Mmm dey mmm da mmm daaeeoo" The girl's freaking out about how th ehiding spot is a bad place to hide, but he says that they should make a plan or something, but the girl says that there's not enough time. "Crazy what are you then? Give me an hour and I'll give you your dreams..." and then this is the guy's quotage, saying that they do have time, give me some time to think about it... "Don't make a sound Shh and listen Keep your head down We're not safe yet Don't make a sound And be good for me 'Cause I know they're waiting somewhere out here" at this point in the song, the style of the song changes; the timeline of events skips to when the guy gets shot because of his failed plan, he's pretty badly wounded, the girl finds a new sopt in hiding, and the guy is yelling in pain, but she's telling him to calm down. "Leave it I won't go back We have to do it 'cause theres nothing left here" Timeline events switch to right before the police go and chase them about. The guy tells them to leave whatever the girl was gonna get for him. "Don't care, what do they know? I've seen them, baby and I know it's real" The reason for why they do that's against the law. Mmm dey mmm da mmm daaeeoo Mmm dey mmm da mmm daaeeoo "Showtime, I knew they'd come Whoa, are we having fun or what? Yeahhh" This is the guy being like he's all ready for the police, but he doesn't know that he's gonna get shot. Mmm dey mmm da mmm daaeeoo "Don't make a sound Shh and listen Keep your head down We're not safe yet Don't make a sound And be good for me 'Cause I know they're waiting somewhere out here" *see above for explanations "I feel good all over I feel good all over I feel good all over" They made it out of the chase. The girl is relieved, and the guy is too. Wear your inside, out... ^idk about this line.^ |

The lines of, "Far away This ship is taking me far away Far away from the memories Of the people who care if I live or die" i think that that means this person's memories of, like, the past or something are fading. and then the next lines of, "Starlight I will be chasing a starlight Until the end of my life I dont know if it’s worth it anymore" I think something happened to those people in his past, and that he's chasing the starlight, or the truth on what happened to the people, but he's been searching for the truth for so long that he think maybe it's not really worth it. but that's what i think of, anyway. just my opinion. ^^ |
