I don't think you need to find sexual innuendo in all the imagery. 'When my ship is sinking' isn't necessarily a sexual euphemism. I prefer to think of it as him confessing that sometimes things get shit and she helps him out. He was with Erykah badu for quite a whil there and I'm sure she doesn't dick about. He also pays tribute to good parenting and a christian upbringing in creating 'a lady'. It's not exactly some 2D fantasy. |

Like 'Under My Thumb' by The Rolling Stones, this is about a woman who the character singing the song has in his lap like a pet. Actually, that hypothesis doesn't really hold for the latter verses. Anyone? |
