this song is for one thing, fantastic, all though it gets old after awhile (as do most songs if you hear them thousands of times) now as billy talent has a history of being quite lyrical, and good with rhyming words that tie in with metaphores, i have to say that some of the lines in this song were pretty... weak. i wouldn't support them if they were in just poem form. (the chimney one... kinda threw me off...) anywho this song is fantastic! |

any avril fans... i suggest you don't read this....
okay well i used to be a huge fan of Avril. she had a style that was incredibly "out-there" and she was a punk-rocker.. or so i thought. her first albums were deep and they just would make you think and the thought behind the songs was actually there. then her last album came out.
The album "The best damn thing" is pretty.. okay underestimation right there.. INCREDIBLY brutal. around 80% of the songs are just shallow and all the little girls who love her should hear what she says, i don't remember the entire quote.. but it was something like: all those little 10 year olds who dress like me and think they are punk are NOT my fans.
whoa. nice avril. way to support your fans.
well as this is SONGMEANINGS.. i think it is probably right for me to discuss the meaning of the song, no matter how shallow and inappropriate.
a girl wants a guy. the guy is taken. girl stops at nothing to get guy. ooh what do u know, she tells him his girlfriend isn't good enough for her. you deserve me. okay.. cool? nah not really. GREAT Lesson for little girls eh?

okay when i first figured out what the lyrics were to the part of the song about a klondike.. i was confused and a little weirded out... when he says 'blonde-dike' is he merely saying it as rhyme.. or as a klon-dike.. blonde-dike.. just adding it on... or does he mean a blonde dyke.. like you know... a lesbian... i was really confused |

this is a really strong song and i really like it. i can relate to it and understand it completely.. sometimes girls just wanna be alone and they don't need to be followed around.. like getting attention from guys is good but it would be better if they weren't constantly looking at our boobs our at our asses... seriously we're people too.. that just makes me mad.. and the whole 'u and ur hand' kinda grosses me out... i really like this song even though that line just grosses me out!! lol |
