| i didn't used to agree with this song; i've loved less than jake since i was like 12 years old and Pezcore came out. but the last 2 times i've seen less than jake they didn't even play this song. when the second time a couple of my friends and i got the whole place chanting johnny quest instead of encore and they came out and played 3 songs; none of which were this one. Then we got the whole place cheering sellouts because they're done it now and they know it. | |

yea, it makes alot of references to the boston subcultures. I love this song because when it came out, i was part of the trouble-makers hanging out in harvard square(which is in cambridge damnit, not boston). Harvard Square is notorious for it's "pitrats". that kids that hang out in the "the pit" outside the train station and cause trouble. Southie is a notoriously Irish Catholic Neighborhood The North End is notoriously Italian Beacon hill is a very rich neighborhood Forest Hills is a train station in Jamaica Plain, which is a neighborhood of boston I believe "flush the boys out of Dot" is referring to Dorchester, but i could be wrong. I'm not reallly sure where Father Mac's is or what the "Old School of the Bright" is. any insight to that would be appreciated. |

| It is definatley about The Rat, I am from boston myself, but this song has a few other meanings i interpreted from it before putting it all together. I thought at first it might be about the Big Dig, When ADERK tagged the Citgo Sign, or how the mob has been mostly cleaned up in boston. | |

He was a notoriusly corrupt state rep(1911-1914,1943-1947), governer(1935-1937) and mayor(1914-1918, 1922-1926, 1930-1934, and 1945-1949) is boston. This dude has two statues of himself in fanuel hall like right next to each other. | |
