Willy Mason – We Can Be Strong Lyrics | 15 years ago |
I agree. "They can't sell me tomorrow" - People pay vast sums of money to go to college, hoping to brighten their future (their "tomorrow"). I think he's talking about how so many people are pressured into going to college/university but in the end it's not for everyone. "Now I'm back on mamma's couch plenty of time to think about all of the kids that went the college route chasing their tomorrows" I think those lines ring true. For me they do anyway. |

I listened to it backwards once. Robert Plant was expressing his love for cheesecake. |
System of a Down – Johnny Lyrics | 17 years ago |
I interpret it as: Johnny is the typical citizen, never happy and letting them self be exploited (always complaining but never doing anything about it) Roger is the 'evil' government who thinks he's God (Ordained himself by rigging elections or whatever). It seems to be about the god-like government controlling the peoples' minds, telling them what to think. Typical of S.O.A.D. |
