Nice cover, but it sounds a bit too over produced to me. As for the meaning, it's about a girl waiting for her lover to come back (after about an year), who cheats on him in the meantime with "Ivor" the engine driver, but her lover comes back to forgive her. |

They'll release this on the compilation I think. Gary wrote this, and Nicole Scherzinger is using it for her debut solo album, buts its currently shelved. Glad they recorded themselves!
As for the lyrics, its probably about two lovers who keep fighting and drifting apart, and Gary is trying to woo her back using all the Gary-isms.
Quite a bit like "Chasing Cars" I'd say, it must've recorded in that era, cuz her album was initially due in 2007. |

This is a gorgeous song, as usual, Gary screwed up. he and his girlfriend are in a long distance relationship, and he's been fooling around since he can't see her for a long time. Now he's mistakenly confessed he loves someone else but is trying to convince her he still loves her because he's disoriented. On of SP's best sogs I'll say! |

This is one of the greatest SP songs ever! Shame it didnt chart. Gary's phrasing is just incrediblle! When he sings "I've been with her once or twice..." there's a pause, and then "IN MY DREAMS..." really clever! |

Gary's lyrics are hauntingly beautiful at times, with wild imagery, all too complex yet too simple and obvious anyone could notice, but it takes a special kind of person to look at it first. I love this song to bits.
The title "An Olive Grove Facing the Sea", says so much without even using those words in the lyric. |

This song is about love being greater than everything in the world. It tells you that all materialistic things won't matter to you in the long run. Love is all you need. Simple really, but addictive music and sweet lyrics. PSB are back! |

Well, metallica WROTE this song sometime in 1983-1984, and they were CERTAINLY thrash then. This song is probably the first thrash ballad. Just because metallica is "fan-boy based mainstream band" these days doesnt take away the fact they were thrash gods. And it certainly does not negate their talent. |
