I like the idea that it is a song about war... and maybe... if it is covered then perhaps jimi took it that way as he was recording it but I think.... overall its just a face value storyteller song.... about a guy who shoots his woman and then has to run away so that he dosn't have to go to jail.. on a slightly more frivilous note... :P i think of this song every time someone greets me... and keep saying inside my head where the hell AM i going with this gun in my hand? |

Hm... I guess the advertising thing might make sense... But to me... it seems more that he is saying... all the effort put into changing things for the better... its not working... peoples slogans brand them as one type of people or another and this causes divides. I think its him saying its time for things to change for the better. the no more sweet talk from hypocrites or from the pulpit to me is talking of the people who all talk as though they are doing something... but its not actually sorting anything out... I know what I mean.... I have trouble expressing myself :) |

to manage such a good and fast song... without it being totally unaccessible to people and therefore not enjoyable... is bloody genius and what power metal is all about for me I love the idea that sanity is not as it was meant to be... its going look around you.. reconsider... realise the stuff thats considered fine when its wrong... :) :) |

This song makes me think of... friends that have been forgotten... about people who i wil forget in the future... and just meeting them again in my dreams or in death or just randomly and going man!! I forgot you and now I know who that person whose face I keep seeing but I think the intended meanings are more along the lines of a guy who has split up from a girl and he stilll thinks of her... but then one day... he meets her again and its like... woah...
