The Academy Is... – Everything We Had Lyrics 16 years ago
The music goes along with the simplicity of it all too. It's not too complex or overpowering... it's just perfect. During the chorus it rises up, and really puts a lot of emotion into the song as a whole, but it's not so dramatic that it trivializes it.
bottem line:
i love it!~!

Jack Johnson – Sitting, Waiting, Wishing Lyrics 16 years ago
as my friend once described it, "unrequited love elongated". X^D. Love it, especially because what usually happens with songs like this is there's always one or two lines I can't quite relate to and end up just ignoring... but not with this one. I put it on continuous loop on my mp3 player. ^.^

Five for Fighting – Nobody Lyrics 16 years ago
Ya. The spoken poetry is truly amaziing. I've been able to apply it to so many completely different situations. It's very true. Every word of it; and it very seldom that songs have lines which are all true. I'm in awe.

The Who – Cry If You Want Lyrics 16 years ago
This is an amazing song. I've seen other bands try to work this same concept, but they all tend to seem superficial, like they're talking more about their own lives rather than people's lives as a whole. All except this one. This one somehow feels, with the march and the lyrics, more sincere and heartfelt. Like it really is alright to cry if you want to. And I definitely second the great job by Roger. =^D

The Who – We Got A Hit Lyrics 17 years ago
I think it's sort of what music can do to a community; a society. The part about "we broke down barriers, we found a dream to dream, we were the carriers" shows how the music has transended the barriers people put up, and what it means to the bands themselves; dreaming, and sometimes; finally getting what they wanted.

Green Day – Westbound Sign Lyrics 17 years ago
This is definitely my favorite GD song. To me, the best part of the song is the whole "is it salvation..." verse. That part at least is kind've like, you don't know how things are going to turn out, but if you don't do anything you'll know. It kind've like just taking a risk, no matter what.

The Who – Unholy Trinity Lyrics 17 years ago
*gasp* no comments!?!? jk. Although I do find it odd that most of the stuff off of Endless Wire doesn't have any comments... All I really know about this song though is that it's part of the mini opera, wire and glass. I just really like the concept of "thee different ways to be, three identical smiles" It shows the power of humans. How we can be as diverse as we are, yet share the same emotions. X^D

Green Day – I Want to Be Alone Lyrics 17 years ago
I think everyone has times where they just want to be alone, and then people try to 'help', you just don't want them to. A lot of the time they get hurt because of that, and you don't really mean it that way, you just really want to be alone... It's times like those when I just want to play this song really really loud and make them understand. *shrug* It's an awesome song though.

The Who – Helpless Dancer Lyrics 17 years ago
The minor chords on this are so awesome, and they go with the song perfectly. The whole album really just makes you take a step back at the end and say "Wow". It's wonderful.

The Who – Relay Lyrics 17 years ago
"Every single dream / Wrapped up in the scheme" I love that line. It kinda gives reasurance, you know? That no matter how alone anyone feels, that there will always be the unifying bond of music, where all dreams and ideas come together. definitely an amazing song!

I love the part about the golden rule making you go crazy, it can really run you dry if you try to follow it constantly. The whole song really is awesome though!

Three Days Grace – One-X Lyrics 17 years ago
I personally love this song more because of the determination which propels it. I love the constant theme that no matter what obtacles are slammed into your life, there is always a way out, and when you take that 'out' and suceed with it, that it can seperate you from 'the average person' or the crowd.
