Wow... anyone knows if Amy Lee had allucinations??... Lithium is the first "medicine" used to treat Psychosis, and the song (about it) it's really coherent. She said "anything it's better than to be alone"... And like people who meet someone with this kind of mental desease, know that they do themeselvs the question: "What's wrong with me?"... and at the same time, they feel good in their pain because they don't know how it feel to be "Healthy".
It's a really psicological painfull song. It's about confusion. She feels safe alone, in her world, but this world isn't the same for others, or it's "wrong" for others... Just Great.
I think all of humans have a little of this song inside... |

He will be the one who loves in a relation, no matter her feelings.
The word "Craving", describes the attitud of search and desire of drugs in drug-dependent people. With this in mind, I think that having her near him, he felt released of his "craving".
I don't find the meaning of "brath", so, I think is "breath"... He don't need to breath because he rather be with her.
It's about a really self-destructive relation. This Charon singer live with a lot of suffer inside... or he identify really well with this kind of feelings. |

Yesterday, when I was meditatin, suddenly this thought came to my head:
The song is about "Diabolical thigs", and the Devil is the Lord of the hell and the diabolic... so, "Tonight belongs to him", means: To night belongs to His Infernal Majesty (H.I.M)". Coincidence?... Maybe. |

Excelent lyric, music and vocals.
It Reminds me a Stephen King's 14 Dark tales, especially those where people desapeard, like "The man and the black suit", "Riding the bullet" or "The road virus heads North". Reminds me too Anne Rice's "Witching Hour", specially when Petyr Van Abel is been followed by the witches's spirit (The impulsor). Don't ask, it's my sensation.
Butdeep in the song, I think it's talking about conformism and a little about hypocrite actions, like "Bend our knees" to things we don't like or we don't belive, or pray to one god and do bad things the rest of the day, and let those persons do it... I don't know... There is many dabolical things writted there in the lyric. |
