The Smiths – This Night Has Opened My Eyes Lyrics 9 years ago
I'm in love with this song at the moment.

I loved the At the Drive-In cover too, I'm fascinated by the fact that most bands that cover The Smiths tend to alter their vocals so they sound Morrissey-esque. At the Drive-In did it with this song, Death Cab for Cutie did it with "This Charming Man" and Placebo did it with "Big Mouth Strikes Again".

Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly – Better Things Lyrics 9 years ago
This song is so amazing. Yet it confuses me a little, with the chorus at least. There's almost 2 sides to it, the first part:

"Three days later there's no texts
what the hell did you expect.
He's only in it for himself,
for the money for the wealth."

makes the guy sound like the villain of the song. Then the next part:

"A shallow kiss to fill a void,
a broken heart a lonely boy,
you took advantage of his pain,
took his dignity for fame."

almost portrays the girl as a femme fatale. Assuming it's a girl, anyway.
Anyone know what's going on? :3

Cradle of Filth – No Time To Cry Lyrics 9 years ago
You're the third person with the word "crow" in their name to comment on this song. I'm sensing a lack of individuality amongst some Cradle of Filth fans. ^__________^

I absolutely love this song.

A Heartwell Ending – Memory Lyrics 10 years ago
Ahhh. This song is just awesome.
I have to agree with what Porcelain~ said, I downloaded a copy from Limewire and it was terrible. Since I don't have a card I looked for a torrent instead and found one that worked. All the songs were ripped off the CD and it sounds so much better. Those terrible skips between verses were driving me nuts.
If you have a dodgy bootleg copy, look for a better quality one. It's well worth the search.

Nightmare – Tokyo Shounen Lyrics 10 years ago
I love this song so much.
Only trouble I seem to be having is finding the lyrics of the part between:
"Fuwa fuwa hane hane kurikaeshita"
and "Yume ni yume wo mite mune ga furueta yoru".
Anyone know what they say? xD

The Cure – The Exploding Boy Lyrics 10 years ago
I don't like the Alkaline Trio version as much as the original. D:
I definitely love this song, though. My favourite song by The Cure is a tie between Exploding Boy, Charlotte Sometimes and The Figurehead.
Such an amazing band. ^^

The Cure – The Figurehead Lyrics 11 years ago
I don't think there is much I can say about this song that hasn't been said already.
Gotta laugh at what Vulgar said, though. xD
The lyrics of this song are simply amazing.
We fucking love you, Robert Smith. :P

Velvet Acid Christ – The Figurehead Lyrics 11 years ago
I like Velvet Acid Christ and their music style, but the original was heaps better.
Don't really like this version.
Doesn't capture the depressing atmosphere that The Cure did. :[

Skinny Puppy – Testure Lyrics 11 years ago
Ahhh, I love this song.
I remember doing a project on vivisection last year for school and I had a book titled 'Vivisection is scientific fraud' I borrowed off of my dad to help me.
Viewing the film clip for this song, I noticed that a lot of the images have been taken from this book.
The only reason I ended up searching for the film clip was after watching The Plague Dogs and reading that an audio from the movie was inserted in the video. "I hope you make sure we're properly dead before you start, old rip beak." Loved that line so much...
Amazing song from a very eccentric band. Love it, love it, love it.

Now, everyone go out and watch The Plague Dogs on youtube.com. Very relevant movie. =]

Cradle of Filth – No Time To Cry Lyrics 11 years ago
...Holy crap.
Dani Filth's vocals have completely screwed this song over. I think the original caught the imagery perfectly well without some hardnut prick having a go at it. =/
Cradle of Filth can go burn in hell for all their terrible covers. Damn them...

The Red Paintings – Walls Lyrics 11 years ago
Wow, I love the lyrics to this song.
I saw them for the 4th time on Saturday, and after all the years they still manage to amaze you with these mysterious and quirky songs.
I'm thoroughly amazed.

The animal rebellion tour is very interesting and if you haven't managed to grab a copy of the new Feed The Wolf EP, I recommend you do.

Voltaire – Feathery Wings Lyrics 11 years ago
Haha, wow. That seems like a really obvious meaning now you say it.
I must have been having a really ignorant day...
But yeah, the lyrics make a lot more sense now.

I am not having a point of view as to who is right or wrong, but jmb2440, if they did infact do all the stuff you claim they have done, can you tell us just where you got your information?
Nothing you said seems to follow up. -_-'

Thursday – Ian Curtis Lyrics 12 years ago
Okay, no offence to any Thursday fans, but this song is ::really:: bad, much like all of Thursday's songs.
I only downloaded it because of it's title.
I'm only 15, and Joy Division is way before my time, but I absolutely love them.
Ian Curtis just has the most interesting voice, and his monotone and somber vocals really made Joy Division who they were.
The only good bit about this song is it's promoting Joy Division a bit. xD

Goth Queen really is quite a bad name for a song.
I downloaded this song under that title, and I didn't know what to expect.
It really is a lovely song though.
Beautiful lyrics. =]

Voltaire – Feathery Wings Lyrics 12 years ago
Unlike everyone else, I could easily see the meaning of this song.
It's not about coping with a loved one commiting suicide, as one of the lines are:

"You lost at sea, Do you need me? Do you need direction?"

Obviously by that line you can tell it isn't suicide.
No one can purposely get lost at see.
It was an accident, and now it is the Angel of Death's duty to take care of his soul when he passes.

I must agree with everyone else, though, that this is a beautiful song.
Most of his other songs have a touch of macabre or humour in them, and this is one of his more serious songs.
It's excellent how he has done such a good job on it.
