I love love LOVE how she says... "Someone next door's fucking to one of my... one of MY... songs." She was so cute about at the concert I saw her at... Everyone just cracked up. |

I've been slowly collecting Regina songs like this one, (that aren't available on cd.... And I FINALLY got this one. I had seen and read the lyrics before I got a hold of it though, so I was quite surprised at how upbeat the song sounds. I had imagined it to be quite slow and sad, something along the lines of Samson or Genuis Next Door or Blue Lips... Maybe that's her way of putting her tounge-in-cheek.... I really think that the lyrics are so moving though.... |

I love this song. The composition of it and her voice... flawless. I think that the much debated about Hans Christian Anderson line is more in reference to what fairy tales were invented for: To scare kids into behaving. So therefore, "If Hans Christian Anderson could've had his way with me" (If I had gotten what he wanted me to get from his fairy tales: morals, sense of good and bad), "Then none of this shit would've ever gone down." (Then I wouldn't be locked up in this hell hole, would I?) Makes sense, no? Love the song though..... Regina rocks. |
