Feist – Tout Doucement Lyrics | 15 years ago |
I did a pointe dance to this song for a competition at the "french congres" for school, and I won first place. It's such a sweet and delicate song and has such a good meaning. Beautiful! |
Feist – I Feel It All Lyrics | 17 years ago |
alovelyfadeout has got it for me. I'm exactly like this because i am young and naive and stupid. I love the line "ill be the one who'll break my heart" Because it's describes me perfectly. I get myself into those feelings and i know whats coming for me but i do it anyways. Thank god for this song. |
Belle & Sebastian – A Century of Fakers Lyrics | 17 years ago |
yeah i dont understand fake people its like theyre too busy trying to keep up with everyone else and do the right things that they never see the beauty of things that are real. |
Tegan and Sara – Living Room Lyrics | 17 years ago |
yeah i think he cheated on her and it really talks about the pain on both sides when that happens. i think she wonders what made him be with her in the first place when he just cheated. And she doesn't want to know who she wants to forget about it but it hurts he doesnt love her as much. |
of Montreal – Vegan in Furs Lyrics | 17 years ago |
ah i love this song, the bass guitar is pretty sweeeet every song by of montreal is fucking awesome though. i love the line "I know they don't understand they don't get us at all" everyone thinks me and my friends are crazy and weird, but we are just more deep, of montreal has made mec more aware of the world in a way it opened my eyes to other things, and its basically poetry and it challanges my mind, so much goes into these songs so much symbollism and metaphors and greek gods and whatnot its just amazing! |
of Montreal – Bunny Ain't No Kind of Rider Lyrics | 17 years ago |
this song is brilliant, it clearly lays out what happened with eva |
of Montreal – Labyrinthian Pomp Lyrics | 17 years ago |
i've got some corrections - how you wanna tag my style when i am so superior? -my spotless interior (questionable) -refrences Stendhal -you can test my talons -but the controller sphere has dissappeared and it hurts - there's two gods for everyone, one, two gods for the beasts, an hour dead deflects our eggs on latitude of 01 degree -moving in clipped tempos Of montreal is my favorite band, i saw them in concert and i absolutely love every song and this one is very funky it reminds me of Prince, its my second favorite song on HFAYTD, i love how it ends with "don't look at them" it leaves me wanting moooore |
of Montreal – A Sentence of Sorts in Kongsvinger Lyrics | 17 years ago |
this is my favorite song off of HFAYTD its so cute and has the best tune and i love how it sounds like raindrops at the beginning and end. I've been trying to figure out the meaning. like maybe someone keeps trying to get his attention but he's just in another place and its not coming accros "its just verbosity to me" idk if someone gets it do tell. |
Bright Eyes – Haligh, Haligh, a Lie, Haligh Lyrics | 17 years ago |
this is interesting, i urbandictionary.comed "haligh" Haligh A variation of apple cider, usually sprinkled with grinded Golden Eagle bones for added flavor. Known in most South African cultures as a widely popular dish, especially during "Kalashkapa", the week long festival of mourning for that bitch of a girlfriend that cheated on you. During this festival, it is customary for mourners to chant "Haligh haligh haligh" while eating their dish. "Haligh haligh haligh haligh, the plans were never finalized..." thats pretty cool! |
The Cardigans – And Then You Kissed Me Lyrics | 17 years ago |
i definately thinks she likes it, she's says "and it hits me like never before that love is a powerful force" she thinks she realizes what love really is, that violence and cruelty. i think she misunderstands the concept of love because of this new love that hit her hard, and its sort of brainwashing her. the entire song lead up to "and then you kissed me" which it seems like what she was waiting for, she went through the abuse to be kissed, but then she's just hit again. Looking glass eyes, my highschool is doing "a streetcar named desire" for a play this year! haha! |
of Montreal – So Begins Our Alabee Lyrics | 17 years ago |
my current favorite every of montreal song has deep lyrics and metaphors which makes them more pleasurable to listen to because they actually mean something to somebody, they're personal. this song is about his daughter and the changes its amazing because never once does he say "my daughter" or anything. they use beautiful language and great melodys |
of Montreal – Jacques Lamure Lyrics | 17 years ago |
classic story of a plain guy, doesnt get the girl. i like how in this song the ahppiest is finally found when he leaves his past behind. Simply saying "i dont need you guys" is liberating. good song |
of Montreal – Fun Loving Nun Lyrics | 17 years ago |
i really enjoy this one as you can see by my name. its my user name for everything these days. but this song i enjoy going around the house singing in a very bad cracky high pitched voice. it just brings joy, you know? its about how wonderfully fun this lady is and she brings joy to everyone, including me! |
of Montreal – Requiem for O.M.M.2 Lyrics | 17 years ago |
out of control for a girl, he's married to one named Nina. haha. anyways this song is beautiful one of my first favorite of montreal songs, it describes me and this boy perfectly. young love that went wrong, but i never forgot about it. and i wonder if he ever thinks about it. but in the end you have to let go. |
of Montreal – The Party's Crashing Us Lyrics | 17 years ago |
Of montreal is my favorite band. They make catchy music with meaningful lyrics like poetry. I cry whenever i hear their music. i saw them in concert a couple weeks ago and it was the happiest ive ever been in my life. This sound has an incredible chorus and really shows how strong he feels about the person without saying some "i love you" crap. Its like a celebration of the wonders of young love, and its amazing. |
