ah i love this song, the bass guitar is pretty sweeeet every song by of montreal is fucking awesome though. i love the line "I know they don't understand they don't get us at all" everyone thinks me and my friends are crazy and weird, but we are just more deep, of montreal has made mec more aware of the world in a way it opened my eyes to other things, and its basically poetry and it challanges my mind, so much goes into these songs so much symbollism and metaphors and greek gods and whatnot its just amazing! |

this is my favorite song off of HFAYTD its so cute and has the best tune and i love how it sounds like raindrops at the beginning and end. i definately thinks she likes it, she's says "and it hits me like never before that love is a powerful force" she thinks she realizes what love really is, that violence and cruelty. i think she misunderstands the concept of love because of this new love that hit her hard, and its sort of brainwashing her. the entire song lead up to "and then you kissed me" which it seems like what she was waiting for, she went through the abuse to be kissed, but then she's just hit again. Looking glass eyes, my highschool is doing "a streetcar named desire" for a play this year! haha! |
