On some versions of the album (Satanica) the song is called 'Decade Of Opeion' or sometimes 'Decade Of ÈÅÑÉÏÍ'. I'm not exactly sure why.

You know, maybe i've just become desensitized, but CC's lyrics don't seem 'shocking' or 'fucked up' at all to me. Go read the lyrics of a band like Gorelord or Devourment. Oh and SlayerFreak, go check out the band Wormed, if you come back here and tell me CC are more brutal than them, i'll know you haven't listened to them. And to everyone else, go read Wormed's lyrics just so you know not every Death Metal band is obssessed with blood and guts. |

Excellent song from a Black Metal masterpiece of an album. I love the opening riff to this song, it's very upbeat, almost optimistic, very unusual for Black Metal.
The entire album Nattens Madrigal, is about Werewolves, this song seems to be about a werewolf killing his lover then realising what he has done and feeling as if he has died inside. |

SlayerFreak666, have you heard any of the other bands I mentioned? Immolation in particular are an excellent band. And tell me, what has Cannibal Corpse done that another death metal band hasn't done better? they aren't especially technical or brutal and plenty of bands have done the gore lyrics way better. By the way, it may not seem like it but I actually do like Cannibal Corpse (apart from 1 or 2 dud albums, Gallery Of Suicide springs to mind) but they're the sort of band I can only listen to occasionally, far from my favourite. As far as Death is concerned, i've never heard of proto-Death Metal, i've always thought of them as 'Honourary Death Metal', the same way that Venom and Mercyful Fate are 'Honourary Black Metal'. |

Are you kidding me? there's no way cannibal corpse could ever be called the best American Death Metal band. Ever heard of Immolation, Atheist, Nile, Deeds Of Flesh, Severed Savior, Death, Obituary, Morbid Angel? all of these as well as countless others are way better than cannibal corpse. Although I will say that they're latest 'Kill' is their best one since 'Vile'. |

This song is about Odin killing Christians who who have besieged a temple of thor where Mjolner, Thor's thunder hammer is kept. I think the title as well as the lyrics might have something to do with their feud with Hammerfall, as a lot of Hammerfall's songs are done from a Christian perspective. |

Basically i get the idea that a Christian preacher is being chased by Vikings for trying to convert them and is about to be killed so he looks up and thinks God is coming to him, only to find that his God doesn't exist because it's Odin coming down from Valhalla to kill him. But I always thought Odin's horse had six legs not eight. |
