Arch Enemy – Dehumanization Lyrics 18 years ago
Basically the song talks about children growing up to be serial killers, or "parasites" as a result of child abuse "Neglected, infected..." They are "damned, misled children that never stood a chance" because they are too young/little to defend themselves. Overall the song is about how each generation of humans tends to show more and more violence and evil.

Dream Evil – M.O.M. Lyrics 18 years ago
I can't believe nobody else even commented on such a good Metal band. I guess everybody is busy listening to Disturbed, Korn, and Slipknot to hear real music. Anyway, to me this song is about listening to the music you want and not jumping on the bandwagon just to be a poser.

Machine Head – Slanderous Lyrics 18 years ago
This song is about how harsh society is when all you want to do is find "true love". I find the verse lyrics quite funny.

Nevermore – Enemies Of Reality Lyrics 18 years ago
I think this song is about drugs. The "enemies of reality" are drug addicts. You would kinda lose your sense of reality when you're stoned. But I believe blink182sux a little because the song does have the Middle Eastern sound.

Leblanc, you took the words right from me. I actually like St. Anger too.

Dio – Rainbow In The Dark Lyrics 19 years ago
I don't think this song means anything deep. It's probably just about being antisocial or not being able to prove your full potential.

Metallica – The Unforgiven II Lyrics 19 years ago
Maybe its about the way music connects people. It could be about a couple committing suicide then being trapped in the afterlife. "This won't hurt I swear/The black of day, the dark of night, we share this paralyzed." The black of day line might refer to the couple lying dead. "Turn the pages, turn the stone" might be talking about the funeral. The preacher turns the pages of the Bible and bury them next to a gravestone. I give up now because I want to go do something else. I'm probably wrong about this one anyway.

Arch Enemy – Slaves of Yesterday Lyrics 19 years ago
Woohoo, I'm first! Judging by the title name I would say that this song is about living with bad decisions. Maybe about how you realize "what might have been".

Megadeth – Sweating Bullets Lyrics 19 years ago
I think we established that its about a psycho. But I think of it as being about a panic attack. I have them from time to time and they make you feel like you are dying or going crazy. The schizophrenic character in the song is getting a panic attack and he starts to hyperventilate and plan out how he is going to kill somebody...for no apparent reason.

Megadeth – In My Darkest Hour Lyrics 19 years ago
This is definately about Cliff Burton's death. All of the lyrics might not fit, but it was heavily inspired by his death. Cliff died in a bus wreck in Sweden after it hit black ice and the bus rolled over him after falling out the window. It must "feel so cold, very cold" to die, especailly laying in the snow. His friend, Dave Mustaine, wasn't there for him although he probably wanted him to be there as he died. Now thanks to this website, I am more depressed now than before I interpreted this for you...You're welcome.

Metallica – The Unforgiven Lyrics 19 years ago
I think this song is about how religion rules over people. I started at a Catholic school and I think my anxiety/depression has roots at that damn place. I agree with whoever it was that said the song has to do with James' childhood. His mother died from cancer when he was young, she refused to treat it because she had faith that God would help her. So there is how religion ruled over her.
"New blood joins this earth, but quickly is subdued"
Obviously another person is born into a religion as soon as he/she exists.
"Through constant pain disgrace, the young boy learns their rules."
That child immediately is having their life planned out just after birth.
Basically the next stanza explains how his own will is being erased by the preachers and his parents (Deprived of all his thoughts, His will they'll take away).
Now for the chorus...
It's meaning can be even more controversial than the verses. I beleive its about how Christians are always saying "that's a sin" when nobody knows for sure what God views as a sin. The boy is struggling to satisfy God but he keeps "sinning" no matter how hard he trys. The kid feels as if God is thinking "So I dub thee unforgiven" and that he is doomed for Hell already, regardless of what he does during the rest of his life. No good deed can save him from Hell. He is "never free, never me" because he is a slave to society/religion.
'They' refers to the preachers, 'His' refers to the main character.
"They dedicate their lives, to running all of his"
The preachers commit their entire lives to unintentionally rule other people's lives.
"He tries to please them all, this bitter man he is"
The aging "kid" is still trying to satisfy what different preachers tell him is right and wrong. And "he's battled constantly, this fight he cannot win" kind of says the same thing. He's getting tired of fighting his conflicting thoughts about what he wants to do versus what he thinks is the right thing. Then he eventually "prepares to die regretfully", meaning that he gave up and feels like he never satisfied God.
OR:
This might talk about how the Chief Justice of the U.S. is forced to make critical decisions for the country that he doesn't care to make, or that he is too old to care anymore. I like my other interpretation better because it makes me feel smarter.

Metallica – So What? (Anti-Nowhere Leage cover) Lyrics 19 years ago
I find this song funny too. "I've had crabs, I've had lice, I've had the clap and that ain't nice!" lol I always laugh at that line.
