Guillemots – Sao Paulo Lyrics

The first part has beautiful imagery of loves lost and burnt in Brazilian city streets, whereas the second half is fraught with emotion, kind of a plea. I don't know what the song is about as a whole, but it's genius none the less! |

Guillemots – Redwings Lyrics

Just a note, it's "Daft killers of joy, you made a man out of me", and later "fallen apples on the floor" (not for the apples on the floor).
This song is just beautiful, about being in love with someone but in the end that's not enough |

They're a small band from Melbourne, and the music I grew up on. I have the most fantastic memories of sitting with a picnic watching the full moon rise by the Yarra to the sound of David Bridie and the others. |

Sufjan Stevens – He Woke Me Up Again Lyrics

The thing I like about Sufjan is that though he is very spiritual and speaks of God in his songs, they are figurative enough that I (a person of no religion) can enjoy them on a less christian level |

Louise is my middle name, so this song has a kind of personal message, and was a bit of a theme song for me when me and him broke up. I have a Lucksmiths t-shirt with a picture of Louise on the front (or at least i think it is, a girl looking sad holding a bottle of wine) |

I know what you mean fireplace, and so did Tali! Just a beautiful song about the simple pleasure of the sunshine on our white white winter arms. |
