Landon Pigg – Falling In Love At A Coffee Shop Lyrics | 16 years ago |
I first saw the lyrics on PS...I thought it was rather sweet and to the point (how I'm feeling at the moment) I've yet to listen to the song (: |
Lily Allen – Naive (The Kooks cover) Lyrics | 16 years ago |
...What's this song mean, though? |
Jason Michael Carroll – Alyssa Lies Lyrics | 16 years ago |
Wow. I really don't know what to say. Ironically enough, I was trying to look for a song with /my/ name in it...and this is what I found....=X |
Sum 41 – With Me Lyrics | 16 years ago |
Beautiful song (: I want to feel this one day... [I first heard this song on 'Gossip Girl' xD) |
Bonnie Mckee – Sensitive Subject Matter Lyrics | 16 years ago |
I like how she says "I need time to mend my broken seams" Because the word 'heart' could rhyme in there after the first line before that lyric, but it's like she doesn't want to say that her heart was broken. Which, relates to me. I don't want to say my heart was broken, maybe it ached a bit. I don't want to admit, or even hint at admitting, that I gave my heart at all. |
Bonnie Mckee – I Hold Her Lyrics | 16 years ago |
I don't know why, but after reading these lyrics, I thought 'abortion'. But then again, I can be absolutely off topic. (After all, she's holding her isn't she?) |
Bonnie Mckee – Trouble Lyrics | 16 years ago |
I posted that comment a long time ago. Now a recap. I can relate to this song, about someone stealing something from you that you can never get back... Someone playing around with other girls... And everything just being a game... Etc. |
Paramore – Brighter Lyrics | 16 years ago |
I seriously thought I'd feel this way for my ex-I promised him I would. But, I can't now...not after all the crap and stuff that's been going on. |
Paramore – My Heart Lyrics | 16 years ago |
Yay God |
Madina Lake – Here I Stand Lyrics | 16 years ago |
I've been meaning to look up the lyrics to this song and now I've gotten off my lazy arse and done it. God, I love it |
Hit the Lights – At 6:00 We Go Live Lyrics | 16 years ago |
Alright, never heard of this band/song until I went on my friend's myspace. I guess I'll put a meaning? I don't know if there are really any hidden meanings, I'm taking it pretty straightforward. Basically, the main person (he) in the song has broken it off with somebody(she), I guess the person(he) is hurt being the reason why he wants to see the other person(her) cry and get hurt, too. Later on, I guess they get closer again, but the main person tells the other person "hold me close but don't get too comfortable This might be the last time you hear my voice" because he'll leave anyways-he's had enough of the past and what's happened before in their previous try at a relationship. Anyways, he's telling the girl to just remember the past, make the best out of that (all the good times). At the end of the song, he's leaving but he won't be satisfied with the breakup until he hears that the person is hurt ("I promise to call if you promise me you'll cry"). Basically, I guess it's a song about breaking up and getting over the person/not caring and hoping that they'll be regretful of what they did. Or something. Eh, it's hard to put into words what the song means-just read the lyrics. I guess it's an okay song. |
Flyleaf – All Around Me Lyrics | 16 years ago |
At first, I wasn't sure if it was a song about God, or relationships or what... I never looked on songmeanings for the actual songmeaning, but for some reason all the lines where she's raising her hands up to the sky, or whomever...they screamed God to me. I didn't really know they were a Christian rock band, but that's pretty cool (: |
Chris Daughtry – Over You Lyrics | 16 years ago |
It's an amazing alleviation song, something to help you get over your ex-or to tell everybody that you're finally over him/her. I love this song and as soon as I heard it, I put it straight on my myspace (just so I could finally tell everybody that I was done with the aftermath, that I was finally over the ex and finally getting better-and aiming to stay that way.) As for the meaning of the song, it's self-explanatory really (: |
Relient K – Who I Am Hates Who I've Been Lyrics | 16 years ago |
Idk, it can be for both things-relationships and God...(I've heard it on both a regular station and a christian station, so yeah.) For a while, I've been trying to look for the lyrics (all last year, it was alluding me) But, I found it not too recently, but soon enough. Basically, the song's all about changing who you are for the better-all because of that one person who touched your life. You hate how you used to be, and so did that person-but that person gave you another chance, and you're willing to take it. Beautiful song. |
The White Stripes – You Don't Know What Love Is (You Just Do As You're Told) Lyrics | 16 years ago |
Bwah, I just saw the video (for a bit on FUSE) for the music vid...Idk, thought it was kinda you know...cute, for lack of better words =X (I really want to buy 'Icky Thump' now :/) |
Corinne Bailey Rae – Put Your Records On Lyrics | 16 years ago |
At first, I didn't like this song-I don't know why..I never did give it a chance. But, I praise it for it's simplicity and alleviation, it's just basically reassurance and telling yourself to relax a bit...take a chance to smell the flowers, persay. |
Chris Daughtry – It's Not Over Lyrics | 16 years ago |
I love the music video (: Basically, it's all self-explanatory...the relationship seems to be dwindling, but he's pretty much saying it's not over, he still loves her no matter what. Beautiful song. |
Bon Jovi – (You Want To) Make A Memory Lyrics | 16 years ago |
Yeah, I agree with QUINCY-about Roger singing a bit like Bon Jovi... This is such a a sweet song (: |
Sixx: A.M. – Life is Beautiful Lyrics | 16 years ago |
I agree with SKYLINES. It's becoming another alleviation song to me (: |
Kelly Clarkson – Breakaway Lyrics | 16 years ago |
This is really a beautiful song (: It's hopeful and alleviating-though you're a bit sad about leaving whatever...you still have that chance to breakaway and make a name for yourself. |
Sick Puppies – All The Same Lyrics | 16 years ago |
It doesn't have to be about boyfriend/girlfriend relationships either... I'm glad that there can be a 'friendship' take on this-that's why I had it as my myspace profile song for a bit (: to encourage my friends to always be strong and that if they ever need anybody to talk to, I'll be there "I don't care where you come from, so long as you come to me." Even if I've lost some friends...that song is still there to remind them that even though our friendship is broken, it can't be too late-they can still come back. Yeah, it's much easier, less complicated, and less painful for friends to come back-rather than a boyfriend....:/ |
Panic! at the Disco – Lying Is the Most Fun a Girl Can Have Without Taking Her Clothes Off Lyrics | 16 years ago |
P.S- I love the lyricism in this song! Leaves for memorable one-liners and perfect myspace names xD |
Panic! at the Disco – Lying Is the Most Fun a Girl Can Have Without Taking Her Clothes Off Lyrics | 16 years ago |
Basically, the song is about teenagers and what our lives revolve around most of the time- cheating, getting laid, romanticism/or lack thereof... Yeah |
Brand New – Sic Transit Gloria...Glory Fades Lyrics | 16 years ago |
This gives me chills...it's giving me deja vu. (I feel like the girl is me...to my latest ex, on our first 'experiences' with each other...loved him for you know, the pleasure... In the whole relationship overall, I know he was trying to hold it together with love and all that..but deep inside, I knew something just wasn't there. If both aren't happy in the relationship, then what's the point? I know, I was selfish I bet but still... I don't know, it's giving me deja vu...I'll plead guilty and be the whxre in this story.) |
Brand New – Sic Transit Gloria...Glory Fades Lyrics | 16 years ago |
It's pretty obvious what the main theme is-or part of the main theme is... SEX SEX SEX ! |
Motion City Soundtrack – Broken Heart Lyrics | 16 years ago |
I'm guessing... When you're broken hearted, everything seems worse than it is-everything out there seems to get at you more. Like, with each passing couple, you feel a pang of jealousy. Or, with every song singing about true love, somehow your thoughts always drift to the one who broke your heart. Although it's so hard not to look away, you just want to get rid of all the pain and not care- I'll destroy this useless heart I'll fuck it up so it'll never beat again Not just for me but for anyone But then, you find yourself in a lie-pretending like you're not hurt... So you find yourself just 'getting used to it', and you find ways to make yourself feel better and TRULY heal. |
KT Tunstall – Black Horse and the Cherry Tree Lyrics | 16 years ago |
I agree with MIGHTY_MOOSE I was thinking...what if 'big black horse' and 'cherry tree' allude to something? 'CHERRY tree' is what got me thinking that-at first, I thought it was just a wierd imagination of mine...but then again, I don't know xD |
The Last Goodnight – Pictures of You Lyrics | 16 years ago |
I don't know, I just heard this song in the last couple of days...I'm getting mixed messages from it. There's a happy waiting: This is the first sound of a newborn child Before he starts to crawl But then, it gets contradicted by a hopeless/killing inside/dreadful waiting: This is the war that's never won This is a soldier and his gun This is the mother waiting by the phone Praying for her son I don't know, I'm taking CONTENTMENT's take on it-but, yeah, I'd really like to see what everybody else has to say. Perhaps, it's just about waiting and waiting-and how you're happiness or sadness could lie in someone else's hand. There is a drug that cures it all Blocked by the governmental wall We are the scientists inside the lab Just waiting for the call ^ The hope of the world lies in the government's hands...And the lyrics about the mother waiting by the phone, her happiness or sadness all depends on that call. Pictures of you Pictures of me Hung upon your wall for the world to see Pictures of you Pictures of me Remind us all of what we used to be Then, your happiness or sadness is granted-and all that waiting is gone...and you're left with the memories, of just what used to be. I don't know, I'm giving a vague description-anybody else have any thoughts on it? I love the beat of the song (: |
Mark Ronson – Stop Me Lyrics | 16 years ago |
I love the beat of this song (: |
Jon Mclaughlin – Beautiful Disaster Lyrics | 16 years ago |
I just heard this song on yahoo music-I thought it was simply beautiful. If I heard this song before, I would have put it on my myspace (back when I believed to be all alone, and to have boys like me is to be a whore...) I still feel alone, in the friend-wise department...but I don't think I have to act like a whore to get boys anymore. I think I'll put this on my myspace now... |

Katharine Mcphee – Over It Lyrics | 16 years ago |
This is a really good song, I just heard of it recently on yahoo music... It's a good 'alleviation song' right about now-just getting over some boy who did me wrong :/ |
Lifehouse – First Time Lyrics | 16 years ago |
I really love this song-there's something hopeful and beautiful about the lyricism. It's given me hope on a certain subject. It hasn't been that long since I just got out of a relationship-about 4 months now, and I've been coping well. But, I've just been so paranoid and afraid to move on, in case I get hurt badly-just like I did with my last relationship. But with this song, if everything proves well, then I know I'll be able to relate once I find that true special someone. "Looking at you, holding my breath For once in my life I'm scared to death I'm taking a chance letting you inside" |

Cute Is What We Aim For – The Curse of Curves Lyrics | 16 years ago |
I love the lyricism in this song! Awesome! |
Vanessa Williams – Saved The Best For Last Lyrics | 16 years ago |
Ironically and eeriely, that's how it was between my ex and I. We were friends at first (or barely, seeing as I got mad at him for failing to see me standing in front of him) and he had dated a lot of women-each one failing him one way or another. I was always popping up though, just being friendly...eventually, he finally asked me out and it was great-exactly like the song. Except, now we're broken off, so yeah...Whatever, maybe he'll find another person to 'save the best for last'. |
The Goo Goo Dolls – Iris Lyrics | 17 years ago |
I agree with silverskyed as well... I miss my ex. But, he treated me like crap afterwards-all those words were lies. But, I'm too broken and need something to hold onto...:/ |
The Goo Goo Dolls – Iris Lyrics | 17 years ago |
I'm going to burst into tears right about now. |
O-Zone – Dragostea Din Tei Lyrics | 17 years ago |
Ah, I rememeber I went on this trip... And this guy told me that the english trans. of the romanian song was actually a love song. He started singing me the english version (: |
Howie Day – Collide Lyrics | 17 years ago |
This songs given me hope again. |
Secondhand Serenade – Maybe Lyrics | 17 years ago |
twentybelow. I feel the same way, too. I want to be back with my bf...and maybe it's not that long since we broke up, but it kills. |
Secondhand Serenade – Maybe Lyrics | 17 years ago |
twentybelow. I feel the same way, too. I want to be back with my bf...and maybe it's not that long since we broke up, but it kills. |
Jonas Brothers – Hold On Lyrics | 17 years ago |
I'm putting this song as my myspace. From "Nothing Lasts"-Maroon 5 to this... |
Kelly Clarkson – Never Again Lyrics | 17 years ago |
I FREAKING LOVE THIS SONG. I love the anger, emotion, power put behind her voice/lyrics. Plus, it goes along with what I'm going through the moment-stupid cheating ex, oh how typical. I love to put this song on loud and scream away the ballads with her (: |
HIM – I Just Died In Your Arms Lyrics | 17 years ago |
I was about to say...when I was looking through HIM's list of songs..if this was written by another band originally. Thanks for the clearup. |
Gwen Stefani – 4 in the Morning Lyrics | 17 years ago |
To continue my other comment, the breakup song I'm looking for can go along the lines that the boy screwed the girl over, etc. Kelly Clarkson could be a good one, right? "Never Again" |
Gwen Stefani – 4 in the Morning Lyrics | 17 years ago |
Pfft. It makes me depressed, bringing back memories of my jerk-of-an-ex dumping me for an elementary girl while we were in highschool. Everyone agrees he's desperate-trying to score. Anyways, onto better things. I only heard of this song recently, catching the occasional music vid. here and there. I was hoping it'd be a good breakup song, but I guess not. Does anybody know of any recent breakup songs? (So I can add it on my myspace xD) |
Blue October – Hate Me Lyrics | 17 years ago |
This could relate to me so much, except change the fact that it's about his mother-and change all the pronouns, etc. to 'he, him, etc.' Another song to add to my CD of post-breakup emo phase.. |
Michelle Branch – Goodbye to You Lyrics | 17 years ago |
This song hurts. (I'm adding it to my burnt CD of songs to correspond with my post-breakup emo phase...) |
Avenged Sevenfold – Seize The Day Lyrics | 17 years ago |
It can be taken in another light, the person may not have died. But instead, left the other. Hence 'Seize the Day'-of when you loved each other. I don't know, I guess it's my post-breakup nature speaking... but, it really is a good song. (Right now, I'm burning all these songs onto a CD to alleviate my low emotions...) |
