I like how she says "I need time to mend my broken seams" Because the word 'heart' could rhyme in there after the first line before that lyric, but it's like she doesn't want to say that her heart was broken. Which, relates to me. I don't want to say my heart was broken, maybe it ached a bit. I don't want to admit, or even hint at admitting, that I gave my heart at all. |

Alright, never heard of this band/song until I went on my friend's myspace. I guess I'll put a meaning? I don't know if there are really any hidden meanings, I'm taking it pretty straightforward. Basically, the main person (he) in the song has broken it off with somebody(she), I guess the person(he) is hurt being the reason why he wants to see the other person(her) cry and get hurt, too. Later on, I guess they get closer again, but the main person tells the other person "hold me close but don't get too comfortable This might be the last time you hear my voice" because he'll leave anyways-he's had enough of the past and what's happened before in their previous try at a relationship. Anyways, he's telling the girl to just remember the past, make the best out of that (all the good times). At the end of the song, he's leaving but he won't be satisfied with the breakup until he hears that the person is hurt ("I promise to call if you promise me you'll cry"). Basically, I guess it's a song about breaking up and getting over the person/not caring and hoping that they'll be regretful of what they did. Or something. Eh, it's hard to put into words what the song means-just read the lyrics. I guess it's an okay song. |

Idk, it can be for both things-relationships and God...(I've heard it on both a regular station and a christian station, so yeah.) For a while, I've been trying to look for the lyrics (all last year, it was alluding me) But, I found it not too recently, but soon enough. Basically, the song's all about changing who you are for the better-all because of that one person who touched your life. I'm glad that there can be a 'friendship' take on this-that's why I had it as my myspace profile song for a bit (: to encourage my friends to always be strong and that if they ever need anybody to talk to, I'll be there "I don't care where you come from, so long as you come to me." Even if I've lost some friends...that song is still there to remind them that even though our friendship is broken, it can't be too late-they can still come back. Ironically and eeriely, that's how it was between my ex and I. We were friends at first (or barely, seeing as I got mad at him for failing to see me standing in front of him) and he had dated a lot of women-each one failing him one way or another. I was always popping up though, just being friendly...eventually, he finally asked me out and it was great-exactly like the song.
