Kimya Dawson – Tire Swing Lyrics

The line should be, "And if I'm a spinster for the rest of my life,
My YARNS will keep me warm for the rest of my life."
As in spinning yarns. |

Say Hi – Dersmormos Lyrics

sidewalk: There's no mention of the Simpsons in this song. There's a mention of Larry, Curly, Shemp and Moe from the Three Stooges though. That's the only thing I could see you mistake as a reference to the Simpsons.
Basically, this is just a nonsense song. It's fun, but there's really not any big meaning behind it. |

PlayRadioPlay! – I'm Guessing There's A Pill For That Lyrics
| 13 years ago

This song was written LONG before Madison and Dan got together. It's actually about his drug abusing days and the "medicine" is finding Christ. He talks about being really depressed and turning to drugs and promiscuity and then he says there's a medicine for that. There's a way to stop being that way. Then the song starts talking about a simpler time in his life that he goes back to in order to make him feel better. |

Veruca Salt – Aurora Lyrics

I think this song is about a friend who the narrator looked up to a great deal, but now doesn't really see why. The narrator is struggling with why she idolized this person and also with the fact that she has begun to try to be like this person, as well. |

Jude – Rick James Lyrics

I don't think this song is funny at all. It's about one of his close friends being sexually abused by some guy and becoming so depressed she kills herself. The reference to Rick James is interesting, but really not that funny. |

M. Ward – Story of an Artist (Daniel Johnston cover) Lyrics

Oh my gosh. This is amazing. I'm a HUGE Daniel Johnston fan and a friend of mine asked if I dug M. Ward. and directs me to his Myspace account. I instantly see "Story of An Artist" and click it to check if it's the same song. Lo and behold it was and I am now hooked on M. Ward. I suppose it was fate. :-) |
