" To me 23 is the equivalent to Konstantine by Something Corporate." I actually thought the exact same thing when I first heard it. How strange! Anyway, my interpretation of this song (basically, lost love, still in love with said girl but realises he has to get out and he can't get stuck regretting it, has to move on, etc, etc) has already been said a good few times, but gah, this is such an amazing song. :) |

Perhaps because I am in this situation, but I take the meaning of this song as being about people who are not really taking control of their lives. The fox in the snow is starving because he's too scared to venture outside, the girl hides in her books.. The boy on the bike I like the most because to me it shows how he just keeps riding even though it's not doing anything for me, because he's too scared to break the habit, even though it's hurting him. It obviously doesn't just apply to riding bikes. :P In the end though, like caitsith01 said, there's hope, in that the kid actually does somethign with their life instead of just wasting it, hiding away in the snow or in books or in mindless routine. That's just my take on it though. :) I love this song so, so much, I just wish I could listen to it. :P |
