Animal Collective – Summertime Clothes Lyrics | 15 years ago |
It seems to be describing a night on MDMA(ectasy): and a voice from the clock says "you're not gonna get tired" an obvious reference to the inability to sleep after the come down. Dance to the songs from the cars as they pass, and the mixed references to being hot and cold. Just as landofsubmarines says, the song is filled with a great sense of love, which again is a primary effect of ecstasy, And maybe the line "the foreman's leakin'" is a George Foreman grill? Seems ridiculous, but it fits. |
InMe – Almost Lost Lyrics | 18 years ago |
This is about drug addiction, how it started off as 'fun, but now I can't come down again', and the 'white line of love and hate' being cocaine. It's about how drug addiction affects your relationships with others and your ability to connect with them. |
InMe – 7 Weeks Lyrics | 18 years ago |
It's an ambiguous song, about a relationship that lasted 7 weeks, but also about the situation they had with their record company- being dropped by BMG then struggling to find a new record deal. Recording the album took 7 weeks, and the song is taking a little dig at those who thought that InMe wouldn't ever release their second album. |
Oceansize – Ornament/The Last Wrongs Lyrics | 18 years ago |
Most of the album seems to be a look into religion and how people blindly follow it, the line 'spilling grief to answer to a God who never answers you' is the most obviously antagonistic. The song is reminiscent of church organ music, I guess a fitting irony. |
