In my opinion, it's about a guy who's in love with a girl, and they're hurting each other. It's like it's the only way. The guy feels guilty about it and wishes he was able not to hurt her : "this is my beautiful dream... i'm hurting no one". He feels invisible and thinks he's only able to destroy love (an eraser of love). But he truly loves her (i wanna give you everything). He may have done something bad to the girl and that could be the reason why she doesn't call him back. The guy feels so bad that he needs to scream, thinking that at least, it's hurting no one...

In my opinion, it's about a guy who has a fucked up relationship like a sadistic one, where they both make themselves suffer and hurt each other. I can imagine something like : the guy made a test to see if the girl was faithfull in order to break with her cause he's so scared of relationships that he thinks it couldn't work anyway ('i love, your love so i can fuck it up') and found out something he shouldn't have known about her ('now i can't trust you') and then the girl doesn't want him anymore ('now i can't touch you') and he's blaming himself for having searched in the girl's stuff and wants her back, ready to forget everything ('i'd drain my brain if only i could have you'). But both are in a crazy relationship where emotions are multiply by one billion, so they're hurting each other ('it breaks me down and make you suck').
This song is about two persons who are so much in love that they're always scared to be left by the other, so unconsciously they put a end on the relationship before they get hurt.
By the way, i much prefered the last singer. |

This song is about falling in love again when your heart got broken. To me, it's about a guy who's trying to have a relationship with a girl but who just can't let it be, like somehting inside is forcing him to run away. He feels like he has no heart no more.
The selfishness he talks about sounds more like some self-defense to me, cause he's so scared to be hurt again. When he's with the girl, the feelings he has for her get him numb, and he just can't talk or show her love. It just can't get out.
Maybe he stills love his ex-girlfriend, though he knows they couldn't be together anyway, and that love prevents him from showing himself to another girl, like he's not allowed, he has not hte right to betray her. |

This song is played at the end of the movie Ken Park (Larry Clark). You watched the movie and saw all the mess around lost kids, crazy parents who do anything to their children... So when you hear that, it's like "What the f***? Is that a joke?". It's a real good idea to play this song after the movie, I think it kind of shows that parents always have some responsability in their children' neurosis, and that they HAVE to take care of their children. This song is like a denonciation to me. |
