Desaparecidos – What's New for Fall Lyrics | 17 years ago |
yeah there is defiently a "underneath" after oxford in the 2nd line. and like everyone has already said but people keep asking it's... "i don't think she likes me, not with this new haircut. i don't think she likes me, i shouldn't eat so much." |
Bright Eyes – Devil Town (Daniel Johnston cover) Lyrics | 17 years ago |
i don't really it's about vampires literally. well maybe but that's not how i interperted it. i guess because i grew up (well i guess am growing up...) in a small town i relate to this "devil town" differently. i think the narrator traveled or did something to realize how big the world really is.he didn't know this before but he found out that not everyone in the world are like the people in his town. then he comes to a point when he is sick of everyone in his town, how they are all the same, all vampires. but then realizes he is a hypocrite and he himself is the same way, a vampire. i don't think the term vampire is literal. like other people think the people from my town are stuck-up, ect. so it comes to a point when the non-stuck-up people, like myself, notice this is true. they grow to dislike the people and later realize them too, to some extent, are actually stuck-up themselves. ok that was an overexageration and a horrible example but hopefully you will get the point. it is a gorgeous song. i like when the girl comes in near the end. |
Desaparecidos – Hole in One Lyrics | 17 years ago |
what's with the golfing analogies? ("got their eighteen holes you should have told them to dig one more your dream is dead" and the title) i adore this song but i don't understand that bit. does anyone have some insight? |
Circa Survive – House Of Leaves Lyrics | 17 years ago |
i like this song but i don't understand it at all... maybe i should read the book. it is way trippy backwards bc the parts that are backwards are now forwards. so it kinda sounds like a wierd experimental song with all the forwards stuff backwards. ok, that doesn't make sense but you know what i'm trying to say... i hope. |
Bright Eyes – Blue Angels Air Show Lyrics | 17 years ago |
the liger is dead on, clare is his cousin. i think her innocence helps him realize such deeper things. i noticed too how he references the lottery like he does in a waste of paint. lottery as in love/finding true love i guess. but now he is much happier like he "won" the lottery. "we've been selected" whatever where as in waste of paint he's really negative about it "will my number come up eventually". idk when this song was recorded exactly but it makes sense if it was after w.o.p. almost as like a reply/continuation on the lottery aspect at least. Underoath – In Regards to Myself Lyrics | 17 years ago |
yeah i heard them in an interview once talking about the '777'. it's just like the opposite of '666' for them as in like '777' is God. i think they made it up, like it's not an official thing but idk, i could be wrong. i would just like you all to know this makes the best song to set your alarm to. when someone is screaming "wake up wake up my God this is not a test" i will guarantee you wake up :] |
Four Letter Lie – stay for a lifetime. Lyrics | 17 years ago |
yay for fll getting signed and releasing a cd on halloween! |
Bright Eyes – Amy in the White Coat Lyrics | 17 years ago |
this song is haunting. it is beautiful tho. i agree with whoever said it changes p.o.v. throughout the song. the 1st part being the an unknown third person/overlooker the 2nd paragraph is from the dad's p.o.v. and the last again is from the overlooker who we realize is a boy who she goes to school with. i find it interesting how when he compares how the daughter relates to her mother he gives physical details and just throws in "the way that you hate me" like it is just the same to him. last friday my friends and i went to different art gallerys. there was one that was "art theraphy" for kids that were abused, sexually and physically. it was probably the most depressing thing i have even seen. i wanted to cry. i was like cute, innocent art with such a deep underlying meaning. this really has nothing to so with this song's meaning but that art gallery reminded me a lot of this song and that's what this song means to me. especially how the excitment of the night quickly turned to sadness after looking at the art, much like when you hear this song. well basically, i love this song. it is sad and depressing in such a poetic way. i don't know how they do it. |
Anthony Green – Stone Hearted Man Lyrics | 17 years ago |
this is from wikipedia: "During the four shows that The Sound of Animals Fighting played in the summer of 2006, Anthony performed some of his solo work, along with acoustic versions of Saosin and Circa Survive songs as well as an acoustic version of "Stone Hearted Man", a song by his new side project with other Circa Survive members, Moshtradamus." So yeah, I guess Anthony has yet another side project. But I'm not complaining. More music is a good thing. If you go to www.myspace.com/moshtradamus666 you can see their myspace site. everything on there says "this isn't real" or whatever but it is most def anthony green unless someone has an indentical voice. also under band members it says "priest homes, churchmoney" along with like 10 other random things. on circas myspace, it says "priest homes, churchmoney" too. check out that site bc a lot of the things are funny. like this: Band Website: notasideprojectoreventhatgoodofajoke.com/ Band Members: priest homes, churchmoney, conky,Jesus, stang the hoobo, the ten puppy boys choir, dennis hopper, meredith verbena the impossible bitch. crickets. the"this is not a side project or a real band or fucking anything"funk allstars. Influences: living together. Sounds Like: jingle jangle jangle jingle Record Label: religion records. Type of Label: Indie currently they have this song and another song on there. the other song is purely instrumental. but this song is like the studio version, not the live version like you can hear on youtube or download on thischangeseverything.org yeah sorry for this awfully long post but i thought you all should know. well that and that i'm bored in school. hah enjoy :] oh and if anyone knows more, than please add it |
High and Driving – First Day Of Work At the Microscope Store Lyrics | 17 years ago |
haha thanks. |
High and Driving – Baby Girl Lyrics | 17 years ago |
just so you all know www.sorrowofstars.com/had didn't work for me. but i got the four songs from thischangeseverything.org it's real easy and legal too(i think) hah. |
Bright Eyes – You Will. You? Will. You? Will. You? Will. Lyrics | 17 years ago |
i always thought that the girl in this story was always the one who returned to the boy (conor... i guess) but then the part with "explore those other women..." i wonder where the quote stops. the whole song could be told in the point of view of the girl and conor is really the one who keeps coming back. but then again maybe the quote stops at "geographies of their bodies" and the rest is told through conor. i don't know tho. this meaning to this song just hit me yesterday tho. i've always loved it and thought i understood it, but now i feel like i better understand it. as the song progresses, conor s becoming more desperate. he wants the girl to return to him like she always has in the past. i think he realized he loves her ("that took so long to figure out") maybe because the girl isn't returning and he realizes how much he misses/needs her. i seems like she's always been around for him, but when he only realizes the good he has once it's gone. the simple change in punctuation in "you will" shows this. he turns a confident "you will" (as in you willl return to me) into a desperate/pleading "will you?" (as in will you please return?) since he starts with you will. then goes into you? will. its hard to see that it's "will you?" and not "you? will." which doesn't really make sense. at the end of the song you see how truely desperate he is for her to return. "and i just won't have a future anymore". idk. i guess that's just the way i interpert the song. i think it's genius what a simple question mark can do. i love it. sorry for the extra lonnnng post. |
Saosin – You're Not Alone Lyrics | 17 years ago |
hahah zigen you make me laugh. this song isn't horrible but saosin will never be the same without anthony. i mean... who do they think they're kidding? maybe they should get a new name (bc isn't "saosin" anthony's idea?) and stop butchering old saosin songs. no one can sing any of the songs off of translating the name like anthony green period. |
Circa Survive – Miracle Sun Lyrics | 17 years ago |
p.s. you can download this song on thischangeseverything.org in the media section. you have to extract the file and stuff but it was worth it to have this song on my ipod. :] |
Bright Eyes – Saturday as Usual Lyrics | 17 years ago |
i kinda think he could have wrote it at 13. i thought he started writing and playing at 12. i don't think this song was recorded when he was 13 but maybe he wrote it then and played it later or re-recorded it. idk but it seems like a 13 year old (a really talented one) could write this because even though the lyrics are amazing, they are pretty basic. it's a great song tho, so if he wrote it at 13, that means he's even more of a genius. haha. |
Bright Eyes – Lover I Don't Have to Love Lyrics | 17 years ago |
i don't know if anyone mentioned this but on the first page people were talking about the lyrics not being in the liner notes ("No No, it WASN'T a mistake printing the lyrics to Waste of Paint twice, its because Conor is too embarassed to write the lyrics.") but the music video for this song is purely the lyrics over landscape scenes. so whats up with that then? either way this song is great. |
Circa Survive – Miracle Sun Lyrics | 17 years ago |
wow. this song is amazing. i love stevens untitled rock show and i LOVE circa survive. it was the best episode ever. circa survive interviews (i love when anthony green laughs), the premire of their video for in fear and faith, act appalled acoustic, AND a new song! haha it was amazing in case you can't tell how excited i am. this song is cute and simplistic. i like it but it doesn't have the more confusing/deeper meaning lyrics of their other songs, this one is pretty self explanatory. and oh yeah, i think it's miracle sun not son too. |
The Honorary Title – Cut Short Lyrics | 18 years ago |
this song is beautiful but i think if you just read the lyrics it would come off as extremely ghetto mostly because he says "crib" and "crazy mad props" lol |
Panic! at the Disco – Time to Dance Lyrics | 18 years ago |
dawn, the book is called Invisible Monsters by Chuck Palahniuk. I don't think it is a hard book to find just try google-ing it and you will get a lot of results. Or just go to amazon.com the exact page is: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0393319296/102-2921314-4940143?v=glance&n=283155 but one warning i would have to anyone who wants to read it, even though it is an amazing book, it is for a more mature audience and not for kids. |
Saosin – Rap Party Lyrics | 18 years ago |
hey does anyone know where i can hear this song. 'show me your bootyhole' is so hilarious. if anyone knows and would tell me it would be much appreciated. :] |
Panic! at the Disco – I Write Sins Not Tragedies Lyrics | 18 years ago |
richie8092, are you talking to me because i never said i support fall out boy and/or panic... i think something was lost in translation there. |
Panic! at the Disco – I Write Sins Not Tragedies Lyrics | 18 years ago |
umm T-CAP75 i think you're wrong. EMO IS ROCK. its just that panic at the disco, fall out boy, all american rejects, ect. are not emo. oh and with the mtv thing, mtv sucks and is ruining a generation, watch FUSE for real music and gasp even real music videos. |
Panic! at the Disco – I Write Sins Not Tragedies Lyrics | 18 years ago |
oh sorry. i feel stupid now for not seeing the sarcasm haha but... thank God you were kidding. sorry again. |
Panic! at the Disco – I Write Sins Not Tragedies Lyrics | 18 years ago |
not saying ANYTHING about this song or panic buuut... richie8092, what is genius about "i chime in haven't you people ever heard of closing a goddamn door". seriously, i think anyone could have written that with or without talent. most def not genius in any extent of the word. |
Underoath – A Moment Suspended in Time Lyrics | 18 years ago |
thank you lifemeansbitter for adding the correct lyrics to most of the songs off Define The Great Line! |
Underoath – You're Ever So Inviting Lyrics | 18 years ago |
Here are the lyrics directly from the booklet: The time has come for you to sit this out To fit inside your mold would be to sell myself short This ground we tread upon is now filling up to our necks We turn the pages left to right We see everything Oh, my story's growing, it is on my last request Don't make me feel so contradicting There's no room for cheating and being yourself Failure leaves such a bitter taste in their mouth And on the last hour we write so many new chapters again And on the outside where there are no surprises Oh, it's getting longer to see it through their eyes would bring me so much closer You can do this night after night Failure leaves such a bitter taste in my mouth Taste and see, I swear I know what's good Be still and know that they won't lie to you every single time you're facing lies I know why you never take your eyes off me I've used my lungs for everything but breathing I find myself dried up in this conversation So pull me out, pull me aside |
Underoath – In Regards to Myself Lyrics | 18 years ago |
These are the lyrics directly from the booklet: Wake up Wake up My God, this is not a test and it's not too late to come clean Get it off your chest So steady your hand before your face and concentrate There's got to be some stable grounf left to walk on So tear another page from the book Are you asleep or just alone Clear this room from your lungs and pull yourself together man On your back, you're sleeping in a bed of shame Let the light breathe some new life into this room It's what keeps you coming back Made up of insatiable taste Bury your head in your hands and sink into yourself Just what are you so afraid of You're staring truth in the face, so come on down You're busy living now aren't you You're busy making vows You're coming unglued Time is shorter than you know I know the light is blinding to the naked eye, so why don't you take steps away from being alone I swear it's not too late for you It's all worth reaching for the hand to pull you out Wake up and step outside your box Wake up |
Halifax – Anthem For Tonight Lyrics | 18 years ago |
wow these lyrics are completely wrong. here are the real lyrics: So here's a question I'll hypnotize you But will you follow me Follow all these footsteps I left behind My hands are shaking Don't criticize me, for being in demand I get paid for your tears It's in my job description Tell you how to feel This is my ammunition I'll fire at will Make make me make you want to sing along You can't have my life Break break me until I write your favorite song This is your anthem for tonight You're contemplating what you want from me But it's not up to you Listen to me what I have to say, Up against the wall with my guard down But can you conquer me? A fighter in the corner with no fight It's in my job description Tell you how to feel This is my ammunition I'll fire at will Make make me make you want to sing along You can't have my life Break break me until I write your favorite song This is your anthem for tonight So here comes a breakdown Oh you wish you could So here comes a breakdown Let's see who can get down So here comes a breakdown Let's tear up this town Just tell me one more time what you want from me Make make me make you want to sing along You can't have my life Break break me until I write your favorite song This is your anthem for tonight someone should fix that. even the chorus is wrong on here. amazing song!! |
Hidden in Plain View – Garden Statement Lyrics | 18 years ago |
haha tommyhaych, i thought it was without the goonies too this song is so brilliant. i can't explain what it's about it's just amazing lyrics and song.... yeah. |
Bayside – We'll Be O.K. Lyrics | 18 years ago |
neglectedangel, i agree with you mostly. i think in paragraph 4 by saying "In a way I’m ashamed for not being your first or your last, just the first cool enough to admit to." hes not saying he's the first guy to like her or what you said, rather implying she gets around bc hes not there were guys before him and after him. also, hes not her first time but hes the guy she brags to all her friends about paragraph 5 i dont really agree with you at all. it's not a belt of popularity but like a notch in your belt like of people who she sleep with and hes just a notch and so he saying basically i slept with you, so what? hes a guy in a band and hes saying its expected of him to sleep with girls like groupies whatever i guess its all opinion but thats what i think. |
Enter Shikari – Return to Energiser Lyrics | 18 years ago |
wait... this song is about laser quest like laser tag? i guess it fits, it's just really random its still an ammmmmazing song. did anyone else realize after he says return to energiser 8 times, when it gets quieter he whispers "chicha chicha ba ba ba" not words just like sounds. the first time i heard that i laughed idk why. |
The Sound of Animals Fighting – There Can Be No Dispute That Monsters Live Among Us Lyrics | 18 years ago |
this song is not a good song to listen to because it's just noises and i kinda have to agree, it sounds like they are drunk but it's a really smart song because the lyrics are so true because the way you feel when you listen to the song is exactly what the lyrics are talking about: "if i sing a melody of consonants now, people would say it isn't music we have no tradition of music composed in these sounds and no notation for it there you see how narrow our concept of music is" it makes think "wow" or atleast that's what i thought in the cd notes or whatever it's called it says: "inspired by Karlheinz Stockhausen's lectures on music" |
The Sound of Animals Fighting – The Heretic Lyrics | 18 years ago |
"Flesh is heretic My body is a witch I am burning it" that's in Act II from Tiger & The Duke... wierd amazing song. |
The Sound of Animals Fighting – Stockhausen, es ist Ihr Gehirn, das ich suche Lyrics | 18 years ago |
“Stockhausen, it is your mind we are searching for" i'm pretty sure that's what the title means. i found it online |
High and Driving – First Day Of Work At the Microscope Store Lyrics | 18 years ago |
ok so i was listening a live version of this song he said the words more cleary. they went like this.... i think: what if the banner falls and presenters are suffocating stop the grand opening the microscopes, we can't see through them broken magnifying glasses serenade the passengers until they cry dancing for the cameras on the traffic lights kissing the turns i can't see through you watching the eyes as she returns hug the wheel and i'm like every man going 95 on this lane serenade the passengers until they cry dancing for the cameras on the traffic lights serenade the passengers until they cry dancing for the cameras on the traffic lights like adam and ever high and driving no one could stop us like adam and eve high and driving no one would stop us like adam and eve i'm pretty sure that is right if you listen to the song and read the lyrics. anyone agree? |
Circa Survive – We're All Thieves Lyrics | 18 years ago |
i always thought the 3rd line was "i wake just to feel the weight" ...i dont know tho either way AMAZING SONG. CS |
Panic! at the Disco – Time to Dance Lyrics | 18 years ago |
raetayukitty, good guess but the other people are right. this song is based off the book invisible monsters where Brandy, one of the characters, takes estrogen (a female hormone because she's really a guy) and wears "auberguine dreams" is the exact name of the purple eye liner she wears. |
Grace Gale – Tijuana Vs Albuquerque Lyrics | 18 years ago |
this song is about sex, without meaning. just like it says in the beginning. "This is about having sex with a girl, not not getting laid" the guy just wants a one night stand because he says "Let’s refuse to write this down, were only here another day" and "There’s nothing distinct in this, no time to watch the flames, just run" and "In no way is this victim-less, our heart goes to the next sailor whose sucked in" so basically this girl is meaningless and he doesn't care about her, but he's in a band so girls want him and being a guy he wants sex. but that's just what i think. |
The Sound of Animals Fighting – Stockhausen, es ist Ihr Gehirn, das ich suche Lyrics | 18 years ago |
http://emotionalpunk.com/mp3/TSOAF-podcast-EP.mp3 that's a link to a podcast (for lack of a better word) but it's basically an interview with the nightingale and clips from lover... (it took a little while to load for me so be patient) he said something like all the song titles "all share something in common"... hmm i wonder what it could be. |
The Sound of Animals Fighting – Stockhausen, es ist Ihr Gehirn, das ich suche Lyrics | 18 years ago |
have you heard this whole leaked album? because i've only heard this song and skullflower but i was just curious if you have what it sounds like. |
Circa Survive – House Of Leaves Lyrics | 18 years ago |
i've never heard this song. does anyone know how i can get it or where it's from? thanks. |
Bayside – Don't Call Me Peanut Lyrics | 18 years ago |
this song is so wonderful. "Drink up beautiful. I spiked your cup with angst..." |
The Sound of Animals Fighting – Stockhausen, es ist Ihr Gehirn, das ich suche Lyrics | 18 years ago |
This song is off their new cd "Lover, the Lord has Left Us..." but it's not out until May 30th. I really have no clue what this song is about. I translated the title in an online translator so the literal meanings is "Stick-lives, is your brain, which I look for" which I also have no clue what it means. You can hear this song at www.myspace.com/anthonygreenislove that's where I found it, or you can just wait til May 30th!! I have a feeling this album is going to be really good. |
Fall Out Boy – Short, Fast, and Loud Lyrics | 18 years ago |
"She's shallow like the shoreline durning low tide but my hopes are not quite as high" this song is so true. |
Fall Out Boy – My Heart Is the Worst Kind of Weapon Lyrics | 18 years ago |

Atreyu – Ain't Love Grand Lyrics | 18 years ago |
you pretty much said it all, it's a great song ...and that's an understatement. |
Atreyu – Ex's and Oh's Lyrics | 18 years ago |
this song defiently sounds different... but i like it. |
Circa Survive – In Fear and Faith Lyrics | 18 years ago |
when he says "i never loved you" and all the other mean things, do you think he's bitter like she broke his heart type of thing or do you think he really never liked her and she's acting like he does. or did what i wrote completely not make sense? haha |
