i think piano island arsonist got it the most right, except i tink the half machine line is actually asking if we are trying to be emotionless or are actually emotionless. I love this song, i love the way the melody's all serious during the chorus but the lyrics, at first glance, are quite ludicrous.

I think it's a message to someone who is depressed, or in a hole that's hard to get out of. He's telling them to get up and start doing something with their lives rather than sitting around moping. Actually, after saying that, it could be a message to emos. Apart from that, go see them live, it's an experience you will not forget quickly. And sweaty goth got the lyrics right.

I think this songs a reference to serial killer Ed Gein, the same man characters such as Leatherface from the Texas Chainsaw Massacre and, I'm not sure, but I think his name was Buffalo Bill from SIlence Of The Lambs. Mudvayne wrote a song about him called Nothing to Gein. He was a transexual who would kill women, skin them and turn their skin and body parts into clothing. Over the course of the song it seems as if he's telling them he wants to take their life and have it for himself, which is what Ed Gein wanted. Look into it and it makes sense.

I forgot to mention that it is a suicide - "Lazarus ended his life, ungodly sacrafice" is clearly a reference to suicide, as well as the fact I know it is about a suicide from various sources.

No, Diabolic had it right. Lazarus was a friend of Mark Hunter, the lead singer of Chimaira. The numbers at the start of each verse are the time and date, etc. The rest is all there already.
