Coldplay – Violet Hill Lyrics | 16 years ago |
Lyrics, via coldplaying.com , a very reputable coldplay source: Was a long and dark December From the rooftops I remember There was snow White snow Clearly I remember From the windows they were watching While we froze down below When the future's architectured By a carnival of idiots on show You'd better lie low If you love me Won't you let me know? Was a long and dark December When the banks became cathedrals And the fog Became God Priests clutched onto bibles Hollowed out to fit their rifles And the cross was held aloft Bury me in honor When I’m dead and hit the ground My Love is opposed when unfold If you love me Won't you let me know? I don't want to be a soldier With the captain of some sinking ship With snow, far below If you love me Why'd you let me go? I took my love down to Violet Hill There we sat in snow All that time she was silent still So if you love me Won't you let me know? If you love me, Won't you let me know? ----------------------------------------- Anyway, I was afraid that Coldplay would stray far too the left with their new album. However, I still feel that Coldplay from before in there. I love it. I even love the addition of a guitar solo in there. The song I think is about possible someone who is getting older and possibly dying. They want to give their last requests. He wants her to tell him that she loves him. Either that who he is telling her of an apocalypse coming and wants his last requests fulfilled. |
Coldplay – Swallowed in the Sea Lyrics | 18 years ago |
I love this song. One of my favorites off X&Y. "You belong with me, not swallowed in the sea" Anybody remember the saying "there are plenty of fish in the sea"? That lyric reminded me of that saying. He's saying that she belongs with him, not swallowed in the sea of other fish (people). "Get lost and then get found"- he's lost her and found her again. Maybe they broke up and got back together again. |

If anybody has this song, please let all of us know! |
Coldplay – The Scientist Lyrics | 18 years ago |
God, this song makes me cry. I love it. I think that this is about someone who super smart, but he can't seem to explain how love works. Love is something magical. Science is easy for him, he was "just guessing numbers and figures. Pulling the puzzles apart". There is no scientific solution to love. And Chris' voice at the end is heartbreaking. |
Coldplay – In My Place Lyrics | 18 years ago |
I was reading someone elses song meaning on here for this song, about writers block. I think it could be about that. The line "Crossed lines I shouln't have crossed" could mean that he crossed out lines of his writings that he shouldn't have crossed out. They are words to him that maybe could've been used, and he regrets getting rid of them. Coldplay just makes beautiful music, no matter how you interpret it |
