Incubus – Light Grenades Lyrics 15 years ago
To me, this song is about how humanity has come so far, we have only just "peaked our heads above the mud". So we are trying to conquered nature and have to a point, but will we survive our selves? We must remember we have come from millions of years of progress and it really is amazing! We should not throw it all down the drain.

Incubus – Oil and Water Lyrics 15 years ago
I think this song is about humanity, just as I see Light Grenades as being. (you can go check my post there)

We build cities by volcanoes then cry when people die, WHAT DO YOU EXPECT? It is saying disasters happen but we lie to our selves that everything is alright and no one is going to die, but frankly, shit happens and we can't protect our selves from everything. The soul of humanity tries to shelter its self from problems. It's happened before and it will happen again.

Also.. mixing oil and water, it seems that oil has become more important to us than water sometimes.

Pink Floyd – Terminal Frost Lyrics 16 years ago
Not typical Pink Floyd. But I find it very soothing/relaxing.

311 – Hydroponic Lyrics 16 years ago
I agree with all of that above, but I think there is more to this song too. It is all about the cycle of life, and how you are nothing more than earth, and that you will return to after you die and decay.

'Cause I'm water and carboAnd not much else.

Nothing but a walking sack of Earth nice to meet you how do ya do.
Guess what. Ya you're one too.

Phish – Punch You In The Eye Lyrics 16 years ago
Phish is such a great band to put on and jam/trip with your buddies. This is one of my favorites, just bouncing around to the live version instrumentals.

O.A.R. – Program Director Lyrics 16 years ago
I have always thought this is about OAR not really being mainstream, like on the radio, yet everyone I know loves/enjoys OAR.

O.A.R. – Road Outside Columbus Lyrics 16 years ago
this midwest way of ease, it surrounds us
i can't deny the rhythm here

My favorite lyric from this song. If you are from the Midwest you know exactly what it's all about. Definitely one of my top O.A.R. songs.
