The Dears – Hate Then Love Lyrics | 17 years ago |
I just realized a couple of mistakes I made with these lyrics...it should read "and you can try to throw this heart to the ground..." and also "'til your last breath/you will hate this heart" |
Now It's Overhead – Wonderful Scar Lyrics | 17 years ago |
Everyone is shaped by their past, childhood especially, for good or for bad. When you're injured, you're left with a scar to remind you of that incident. So as you grow up, you're left with a "scar" of everything that happened to you in your childhood. And it's your scar, no one has one exactly like it. So it's your wonderful scar. |

Radiohead – 15 Step Lyrics | 18 years ago |
In Boston on 06/04/06, the lyrics are a little bit different than above (and probably will differ on the final product, if this song appears on their next album): how come i end up where i started? how come i end up where i belong? won't take my eyes off the ball again you reel me out then you cut the string you used to be alright what happened? did a cat get your tongue? did your string come undone? one by one one by one comes to a halt soft as a pillow you used to be alright what happened? et cetera, et cetera thanks for whatever fifteen steps then a sheer drop how come i end up where i started? how come i end up where i belong? won't take my eyes off the prize again you reel me out then you cut the string |
Pedro the Lion – The Longest Winter Lyrics | 18 years ago |
I love the "cat for a wife" line...it's perfect. |
Nada Surf – Killian's Red Lyrics | 18 years ago |
"I get secrets at night" refers to all of the things you think about at night when you're lying in bed and can't sleep. All the things you want to do or say but in the light of day you don't remember. Or maybe the dreams you have where you're suave and cool and perfect, but when you wake up in the morning, you're the same ole person. |
Wolf Parade – This Heart's on Fire Lyrics | 18 years ago |
The posted lyrics "sometimes they rock and roll/ sometimes they stay at home and it's just fine"...I thought they were "sometimes WE rock and roll/ sometimes WE stay at home and it's just fine" and "sometimes they rock and roll/ I'd rather stay at home in real life"...I thought they were "sometimes WE rock and roll/I'd rather stay at home AND FEEL ALIVE"...I hope the lyrics as I heard them are the actual lyrics, because I think they're more personal. I think this song is about someone who is depressed and broken hearted and would rather stay home and pine about their lost love than go out and look for someone else. Someone who cannot let go of that lost love. |
