I take it back. I love the Metallica version.
Although still on the fence about which is better. You pretty much have to listen to Metallica to enjoy them....strange... |

This is a pretty good song and all...but he got very sloppy on some of the lines....had to really force a few, and it was kinda pushing it. Overally not bad though. |

The Live At The Marquee performance of this song is incredible..
I love the original, but that performance is just all powerful. |

Wow, "Normal" is such a kickass CD. Not a single song I don't like.
And some of the lyrics are very pleasent, namely "Awake", "Shadow" and "Thank You".
Love this song. |

Lucie Silvas – Nothing Else Matters Lyrics

The only thing I have against it is that she changed the lyrics a little from the original, and it really bothers me. I love the music and the vocals, definately give it some originality and makes it a better song (and while I love the Metallica version, her vocals are excellent here) than just a straightforward cover. But really, she should have left the lyrics completely alone. Even the minor changes bother me. |

This song is....well I think beautiful is the only word I can use to describe it. I love this song. |

This song is hilarious. The best example of a pickup gone wrong, and I think everyone can relate to it in some way. |

The CD isn't bad, but this song is absolutely terrible. The rest of the CD was listenable though. |

Led Zeppelin – Stairway to Heaven Lyrics

This song has nothing to do with the devil or God. It is a song about hope, plain and simple. The music starts small and buils to a conclusion, and images such as pipers, the mayqueen, two paths, etc. all create a very hopeful image. |

Megadeth – Die Dead Enough Lyrics
|
Some things to be cleared up:
1. Megadeth DID release CD's that were more commercially accesible, not unlike Metallica, and this CD is just a very succesful comeback.
2. Metallica did NOT 'steal' Master of Puppets from Mustaine. The song was written with no help from Mustaine.
3. Megadeth fucking own! |

Mark Wills – Don't Laugh At Me Lyrics

This song makes me really depressed. I remember the first time I heard it, I had to sit down, because it overwhelmed me. I had been picking on people my whole life, and so to me this was a very powerful song.
It makes me feel like I wasted so much time being mean... |

Megadeth – Mechanix Lyrics

I love this song. Mustaine is such a great songwriter, though in honesty, I like The Four Horsemen better. I think after Mustaine got kicked out the lyrical change made me like the song more.
I like Hetfield's vocals on the original Metallica version of Mechanix, but only cause his voice was slightly clearer than Mustaines for the demo. |

Shanec89 - Robert Plant isn't a satanist. Writing lyrics backwards and making workable forwards verses is not possible, especially not in the time these lyrics were written. Don't worry. There's no message. |

They might be. Only Sabbath I ever really got into was the Heaven and Hell album though, cause I worship Dio.
Yeah, the lyrics are amusing. I think I read on wikipedia that Ron Thal's brother does the drumming on this CD. |

I think it's funny how people insist on thinking Page wrote the lyrics....Mr. Page wrote the wonderful music; Plant wrote the lyrics.
Of course, that isn't why I'm replying. It's because of this:
"It is about how money does not buy happiness, and that true happiness is found by having a connection to god."
This song is not about God. Why does everyone insist on making a God connection to every fucking song. This song is about hope; that's the bottom line. |

Sentenced – Killing Me Killing You Lyrics

Strange that this song has the most comments and this isn't even close to their best song....I kind of don't like his vocals in this one though....
And ironic that in saying this I've added to the number of replies.
Excuse Me While I Kill Myself, Noose, Neverlasting, Her Last Five Minutes, and End of the Road are my favorites. |

Very, very good song from a very, very good band. And of course, anyting involving James LaBrie or any member of DT for that matter is automatically very good. |
