I should've kept that in mind, being that Evanescence is my favorite band. In that case, I truly think it's about what I said the first time. |

They'll Never Search It...

that should be "they'll never search, he's out of sight" |

I doubt this song is as fatal and perverted as people have said. Artemis' perception sounds the most correct. It's really just love and will. No sadistic crap. |

Watch the damn d.v.d. and they'll explain it's about the pharoh. Where in hell did you get the idea that it was about rockstars? It IS literal, it's NOT a metaphor. |

Voltaire – The Man Upstairs Lyrics

Um, I happen to be Catholic, and we don't believe that God makes every little thing happen. How would we have free will if He did?
As for the meaning of this song, I found not one thing in it that could even possibly represent anything about God or the Devil. And being that this is the humorous Voltaire, I believe this really is about bad neighbors. If it was about them, what would all the other weird neighbors in the song represent? |

I agree. I hate when people come on this site and go 'I love this song! I don't have a damn clue what it means but it's good!' How can you think it's good if you don't even know what the hell it's about? |

Amy Lee has said time and time again, their songs are really not Christian based.
"There are people hell-bent on the idea that we're a Christian band in disguise, that we have some secret message. We have no spiritual affiliation with this music. It's simply about life experience." -Amy Lee |

I cannot see how this song is about war. I do see how he relates to Jesus in the song.
And now I feel what you felt
And now I feel what you felt inside brother
And now I feel what you felt
I think "This isn't worth it, It isn't worth it" means it's not worth fighting people who taunt you about your religion. Jesus never retaliated against people who persecuted him. |

what the hell? no man, that's wrong. and religion doesn't just help make things better, it's about your faith that helps, which equals "saving yourself." God's not gonna help you if you don't ask. |

It's simply about wanting someone who you know you can't be with. It's not about AIDS because you don't catch AIDS if you touch someone with AIDS.
And on a sidenote to GrtOne41, you wouldn't have been in trouble for statutory rape. It's statutory if you're 21. |

You know what the problem is, boys pick the pretty and popular girls. And they're the girls who'll treat you like you're dirt. So it's not us, it's the boys that are dicks. |

The only way I can see this is that it's about someone she loves, who has trouble admitting his love for her, and she's getting almost frusterated with him but still loves him.
I could be wrong because the other day I saw this song on a catholic music sight. |

Leona Lewis – Bleeding Love Lyrics

I hate this song and think it's already played out, and I also view the meaning differently. It sounds like she's 'in love' with an abusive guy, but everybody keeps pulling her away because they don't want her to get hurt. So it makes me think she's one of those pathetic women who not only can't say no, but also only THINKS she's in love with this idiot and thinks there's some good in him. But reguardless of how 'good' this persion might be, people keep saying she shouldn't stay with him through the abuse. |
