Great song by an awesome band :) This song was written near the end of an all night session of song writing of jack bruce and one of th guys that wrote lyrics with cream (can't remember his name atm...) When at like 6 or 7 o'clock they weren't going anywhere and they started to get a little fed up with each other and the songs etc. Jack grabbed his bass and started to play this riff, the other dude looked through the window and saw it was getting light out side, and said: "Hmmm It's getting near dawn...." And there you have it, one of the best songs ever written :). As for the meaning, you can read lots of things in it, it just came to me that it may as well tell about how the narrator had a harsh period in his live, (the darkness) and now had a (new) girl friend, and how that starts to brighten up his day. And she is his sun. But well I think everyone should find out for them selfs what this song is about :). |
