Hmmm. I think this song (and most of NMH's work) is more about the feeling it evokes than a literal meaning. They use the music and words to paint a feeling, rather than tell a specific story or make a certain point. |

This song is horrible. It is easily one of the ten worst songs of the year; a sappy, completely heavy-handed attempt at nostaliga. This sacharine garbage practically put me in a diabetic coma. This is how Hallmark cards would read if they were written by....well, Nickelback. |

I think he's looking for sex without the accompanying emotional attachments. It even has the tone of a man trying to pick up a woman in some bar. "C'mon...I just wanna be friends..."
