The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus – Your Guardian Angel Lyrics | 17 years ago |
I will never let you fall I’ll stand up with you forever I’ll be there for you through it all Even if saving you sends me to heaven This describes the whole song. This song is about the person you care most about in this world. The last line is simple: It basically means that you care so much for this person that you are willing to die for them. ...take a bullet, so to speak. This song means the world to mean because it describes how I feel about one of the greatest friends I know. |

I kind of agree with pipyoolike. This song really gets to me because I can completely relate to it. Take this verse for example: "I can't hide the monster anymore One can only feel desolate for so long Until one starts to change Into something the mirror doesn't recognize I metamorphosize The darkness has been biding its time To claim its latest victim Fresh meat for carnal desires To become what I became I viewed the sun for the last time" The feeling I get from this is that the person feels lonely and possibly rejected from the society he wants to be so much a part of that he builds up this evil inside of him (possibly from all the anger and rejection) which he sees when he looks at himself in the mirror. The evil has consumed him...claimed him as evil's latest victim. In this stanza: "And it pulses through The desire to change To deconstruct all of my past failings But where to begin Because when you live in sin It's hard to look at saints Without them reflecting their jet black auras back on you And I have is hope My inner burn's not fading I'll wipe the blood from my cheek And get on with my day" Here, he is getting a desire to change from what he has become, a desire to rid the evil and turn it around. But he has so many "failings" that he doesn't know where to begin to start correcting them. The "Saints" line is talking about shame, how he can't look at something so good and holy because of this sin he carries with him. However, he doesn't want to give up ("And I have is hope My inner burn's not fading I'll wipe the blood from my cheek And get on with my day"). The Last stanza is about him dying inside from this evil because it has killed him (inside). He comes back fighting this evil, hoping to conquer it so that it will not consume or destroy him again. Take this song for whatever you want, but this is how I view it as being. ALSO: This song reminds me alot of one of the poems that I wrote called SAVAGE BEAST. You can find it on my website: http://crosswalker18.home.att.net. It is on the menu under Writings. |
