Beastie Boys – Triple Trouble Lyrics 16 years ago
Nah the bit in the beginning is definitely Cockney.

Megadeth – Hook in Mouth Lyrics 16 years ago
I love these lyrics.

Hawkwind – Sonic Attack Lyrics 16 years ago
Hahaha, I love this 'song'.

Must be about some sort of sex-obsessed(?) aliens.

Iron Maiden – Tailgunner Lyrics 17 years ago
In this song apparently Bruce was purposely imitating Dianno because of the whole back to basics approach to the whole album.

Wolfmother – Woman Lyrics 17 years ago
Great song. Sounds quite a lot like Thin Lizzy's Chinatown. If you like these "classic rock revival" bands check out The Answer at www.theanswer.ie

Iron Maiden – The Prisoner Lyrics 17 years ago
"I read in an interview with Corey Taylor in Guitar World Magazine, that the Meaning of this song is about Alexander the Great"

That's bullshit. What does Slipknot know anyway?

Dream Theater – Innocence Faded Lyrics 18 years ago
Great upbeat song off the Awake album. Really shows their Rush influences.

Dream Theater – Lifting Shadows off a Dream Lyrics 18 years ago
Masterpiece. Nothing else to say.

You idiot - sick means good!

The Automatic – Monster Lyrics 18 years ago
So unbelievably catchy.

Anthrax – Medusa Lyrics 18 years ago
My favourite Anthrax song. Awesome melodies, and it's pretty obvious about what its about.

Iron Maiden – Afraid To Shoot Strangers Lyrics 18 years ago
"Also, I'm not quite sad enough to memorise the dates of every live Maiden event"

You don't need to. All you needed to know was that ATSS is from 1992, and Live After Death is from 1985. Duh.

Iron Maiden – Judas Be My Guide Lyrics 18 years ago
One of the highlights of Fear of the Dark...excellent melodies.

submissions
Jethro Tull – Locomotive Breath Lyrics 18 years ago
Great song, but the first version of this I heard was the cover by W.A.S.P, and not the original Jethro Tull version. To me, both versions are amazing.

Diamond Head – Am I Evil? Lyrics 18 years ago
Why were they supporting Megadeth anyway? They're older than them, and they influenced them too.

submissions
Diamond Head – Helpless Lyrics 18 years ago
Decent song from their first album...

Has anybody noticed that there's a riff in this song that sounds almost exactly like the one from Riverboat Song by Ocean Colour Scene?

submissions
Judas Priest – Sinner Lyrics 18 years ago
Whats that thing Rob Halford whispers in the chorus? It sounds something like, "desification", but I'm really not sure.

submissions
Anthrax – Gung-Ho Lyrics 18 years ago
Excellent song, but it is proof that Anthrax never really took themselves seriously. The march bit towards the end just makes me laugh!

submissions
Bruce Dickinson – Lickin' The Gun Lyrics 18 years ago
Hehe gotta love this song....so blatantly like Aerosmith

submissions
Black Sabbath – Black Sabbath Lyrics 18 years ago
"How many different hard rock songs open up with church bells?"

Lol, good point - there are quite a few. There's this one, Hell's Bells by AC/DC, Hallowed Be Thy Name by Iron Maiden, and there was another one I can't remember at the moment...

Metallica – Whiskey in the Jar (Thin Lizzy cover) Lyrics 18 years ago
This cover isn't bad, but why do so many people think the Metallica version is better than the Thin Lizzy one? Sure, they made it heavier and everything, but of course its going to be heavier - Thin Lizzy recorded theirs in the early 70's FFS. Also, Metallica's lacks the emotion that Thin Lizzy had in theirs, in my opinion.

Also, why have people been saying Metallica did the original? How fucked up is that? It's on a covers album! Thin Lizzy didn't even do the original either.

Aerosmith – Livin' On The Edge Lyrics 18 years ago
The video makes me laugh...when Joe Perry just calmly steps out of the way of an oncoming train

submissions
Ramones – Surfin' Bird Lyrics 18 years ago
Lol, simplest song ever.

submissions
The Police – Reggatta De Blanc Lyrics 18 years ago
Gotta love that hihat and rimshot work towards the beginning. I love Stewart Copeland's drumming.

submissions
Blue Öyster Cult – The Marshall Plan Lyrics 18 years ago
This song makes me laugh, especially the random Smoke On The Water riff.

Blue Öyster Cult – The Marshall Plan Lyrics 18 years ago
This song makes me laugh, especially the random Smoke On The Water riff.

Black Sabbath – Dirty Women Lyrics 18 years ago
Oops wait I meant the same DDCD chord progression as Sunshine Of Your Love by Cream.

submissions
Black Sabbath – Dirty Women Lyrics 18 years ago
I particularly like the riff that comes up at around 3:15 - it has the same DDCD chord progression at the beginning, but as soon as it gets into the FGF etc part it just sounds so brutal and evil. Excellent song.

Judas Priest – The Sentinel Lyrics 18 years ago
No comments yet?! How can you fail to ignore this song!

Amazing vocals by Halford. This song has to be one of his best performances.

submissions
Judas Priest – Night Comes Down Lyrics 18 years ago
Beautiful song. My 2nd fave off Defenders Of The Faith next to The Sentinel.

I like the distant scream behind the chorus - it's subtle but quite effective.

submissions
Iron Maiden – The Prophecy Lyrics 18 years ago
I like the way there is a quiet intro, then all of a sudden, it becomes heavier and faster. Fits perfectly with the subject of the song. Very menacing song.

submissions
Ted Nugent – wango tango Lyrics 18 years ago
WOAH! Jesus! Ted is fucking mental in this song!

Oh, and congrats on the person who actually made out the lyrics.

submissions
Deep Purple – Soldier of Fortune Lyrics 18 years ago
Beautiful song. Reminds me of Stairway to Heaven.

submissions
Megadeth – Holy Wars... The Punishment Due Lyrics 18 years ago
I put on Rust in Peace for the first time, and this song just fucking blew me away. The drums go so well with that riff! So much energy.

Judas Priest – Angel Lyrics 18 years ago
"Gives Diamonds & Rust some competition for the best Priest ballad ever."

Diamonds and Rust is awesome, but you can't really call it Priest cos its a Joan Baez cover. I'd say Priest's best ballad is Dreamer Deceiver.

submissions
Judas Priest – Eulogy Lyrics 18 years ago
Is this the first time Tipton's played the piano for Judas Priest since Sad Wings?

submissions
Judas Priest – Ram It Down Lyrics 18 years ago
The solos are amazing! I love the bit where KK and Glenn are doing the lead guitar harmony bit, kinda towards the end of the solo. Just gives me a hell of a chill.

submissions
Iron Maiden – Where Eagles Dare Lyrics 18 years ago
Bruce's singing is amazing in this song. It just seems so perfect and effortless.

submissions
Judas Priest – Last Rose Of Summer Lyrics 18 years ago
You might wanna check out Dreamer Deceiver. Kickass Priest ballad.

Judas Priest – Breaking The Law Lyrics 18 years ago
About the comment above me, Judas Priest are from Birmingham not Sheffield, so that basically screws up all of your link with steel, which is pretty much the rest of what you wrote.
