is it just me or does he take the rhythm right out of the Phantom of the Operah theme song??
listen to the part that says "in sleep he sang to me, in dreams he came"...sounds identical. anyway, the lyrics and theme of this song were just sheer genius. by far the mainstream breakup song with the most original lyrics and rhythm. |

2 years ago i moved waaaaay away from home to experience something new and stuff....went thru a butt-load of crap with the culture shocks and all the random problems that come with being out on your own for the first time...once i mastered the whole being away thing, every trip i made to visit my folks "back home", this has been my theme song, and now that i'm considereding moving back, this song doesn't cease to remain in my life's soundtrack...its like C&C are telling me "you've endured a lot of struggles, you've seen where to put and where not to put your trust, you've gone thru this this and that, but nothing matters now, cause your going home!!!" ...as time passes, the more determined i am to go back home and do things with my life i never did before, and this is where they're telling me: "spend your time well here in hell before you go and leave the worse of all behind!!!" goodbye Kansas!!!! |

i definately agree with barefoot...personally, i've always thought this song highlights the concept of creating love in oneself toward someone, from nothing at all. as if the guy didn't give the girl any reason to love him, yet she still does...but looking at the lyrics, it could also be that he has built all this love for her, and she says she loves him too but he realises she doesn't really have reasons to feel that way..i've related to this song from both ends of the spectrum, but even wen i've been in neither side, its still the best air supply song ever!!!!!! |

this was the theme song of my last relationship.....from the get-go i knew this wasn't the kind of girl i wanted to be with (asking myself "should i try to make it last?"), but yet i constantly fed off the attention and affection i was getting, and at times after long phone conversations, night time hit without an "official" goodnight and i'd stare at my phone for a while and just think about wether to say goodnight or not or to just keep prolonging conversations...now that its all over, i kinda didnt want it to end as it did where we dont even talk anymore ("i never wanted it to be this way, and were the hell is yesterday?" i say to myself), but now i got nothing left but to wonder "should i have tried to make it last???"...great song...first song i was inspired to learn to play and sing at the same time, which i eventually was able to :-) this song's definately going in my life's soundtrack... |

this song i dedicate to my exgirlfriend, Jamie...i love this song. it took me a while to make sense of how everything ended, and to accept that the summer days are gone in which we used to hold hands and spend a lot of time together, and now i hope it KILLS her to think of what she's gonna be missing out on, now that she don't mean ANYTHING to me!! i'm never gonna get the 2 years i spent with her, which really SUCKS. Everytime i feel down about the whole situation and how its over and how my life has changed since, just like this song, i can't think of anything else but "now that i made sense of all this, i hope it kills you to think of what you missed[...]". Theres nothing left to find. I can't thank Allister enough for coming out with this album ONE WEEK after my breakup. |

i almost felt like shedding a tear when i got the new allister cd!! i first started dating my last girlfriend when last stop suburbia came out, and with her being long distance that cd was so perfect to relate to. in the week before this new CD came out, we broke up, and its like this CD came out RIGHT ON TIME. and this song is like one of the theme songs of my breakup with her. i actually raised a few bottles to the sky to all the nights her and i said our last goodbyes. at first i really was really scared about talking to her on the days leading up to breakup i was scared of wat answers i'd find and it was killing me inside! now i'm forced to breathe without her, and this new allister CD is the best CD that's happened to me. i wonder if the allister guys also decided to date canadian girls... |
