Architecture in Helsinki – Maybe You Can Owe Me Lyrics 18 years ago
kind of sounds like a relationship where the girl might be using him?
nobody go all crazy and get in my face about that being wrong though.

it kind of seems like the whole ending paragraph (as it's written up there) that the girl just wants some place to crash and he's willing and has a crush on her.

AIH is so adorable, it seems so innocent and naive!

The Jealous Sound – Hope For Us Lyrics 18 years ago
wow, "kill-in-tons", that actually does make sense. the whole ambulance thing and all.

but since i believe that people can have their completely different reactions to it, i kind of feel like the singer is singing about someone they love but it kills them to love them. it just feels like, during the "kiss me on the mouth", they love them a lot but know that the person, i don't know, may not love them back/enough/as much?
just the tone of it sounds kind of desolate and slightly sesperate and kind of grabs my heart every time i listen to this song.

this song made "jealous sound" one of my favorite bands.

my favorite parts are the "we'd pass through farms, the orchards are aligned" because I can just see that in my mind. How when you pass rows and rows of trees you can see down them for a split second with the sun glimmering through the young branches. beautiful.

also the "slips off the road and new years become new lines, we didn't see the lights against the sky, we didn't see we were too far up the road" This speaks to me as to how time passes. How funny and how slight sad it is how we lose track of time so easily/fast. It also speaks to me about how opportunities are missed. There's something about missing something I could have seen that just eats away at me. That's how I feel about the "lights against the sky" part.

Great catchy sound!

Sufjan Stevens – Casimir Pulaski Day Lyrics 18 years ago
I really like the comment made by Breakfast, that was really really good. I also liked the comment about how honest sufjan was, very true.

In regards to this take of christianity- I think it means what it means to you. If you think he was mad at God, then think that. I personally think that he was praising God and sort of asking for strength. The "all the glory that the lord has made" is truly beautiful.

I can't even speak the "In the morning when you finally go... cardinal hits the window" part without choking up. The vocals and the trumpet and absolutely necessary and PERFECT!

amazing.
