what lizards_feet said about this girl-girl thing makes a huge sense. yuri literally means "lily". in japanese culture, lilies traditionally symbolize lesbianism. that's why mangas and animes about girls loving girls are called that way. so, yuri g has this ambiguous meaning... yuri gargarin and yuri girl... i don't know, hah. |
